It was fantastic, our guide Patrick was really great, with a lot of knowledge what he managed to convey in a fun, smooth way.
We did the Ghent Beer Walk on Saturday, June 6. This guide had a lot of knowledge and could tell well, (most) beers tasted good! In the beginning both the group and the guide had to get going but as the walk went on it became more and more fun!
Highly recommended if you are in Ghent and love Specialty Beer. We had Tom as a guide and he could tell everything nicely and knows a lot about it. You will also get a nice impression of the city during the walk.
Beerwalk March 2026 We were there because of a friend's birthday. What a great experience it was! Nice places of Ghent seen where I had never been before. Also tasted good beers. Everything was told and explained with a lot of knowledge by our guide (Franky van Britsom) who also deserves a big thumbs up for this! What a nice man! This is highly recommended! Thanks again Franky for the fantastic afternoon! Gr. Danny.
Very interesting and entertaining. Learned a lot about beer, from the brewing process to drinking many types of beer at what temperature. The guide, Patrick, was very knowledgeable, friendly and sociable.
We had a very nice and educational beerwalk with Franky in historic Ghent. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the city and beers made it complete.
Patrick was a very nice and enthusiastic guide. Picked out nice beers and told a lot about Ghent and the history of Ghent
Highly recommended! Both a delicious and very entertaining tasting led by a city connoisseur and gourmet!
Patrick told it in a very nice and clear way. We had a nice group and learned a lot about beer and the brewing process. And of course also tasted it. The walk through the city topped it all off.
We had a very nice walk through Ghent with Patrick. He knows a lot about making beer and Ghent, which makes a nice combination with tasting 5 beers. Due to some walkout within the group itself, we were not able to see all the cafes, but we were able to taste the last beers in the last cafe. We were able to ask Patrick all questions about Ghent, beer and Flanders, and therefore we had a very nice time. Highly recommended if you like to walk and see something of the city and cafes (besides tasting good beers of course). By walking in between, the man with the hammer also comes later!
