We. 🫶🏾. Ghana!! And it's all thanks to Afro Nyanka Tours and our wonderful tour guide, Yvonne! Our trip would not have been as enjoyable without her. Everything was so well done, from the welcoming, education, and guidance on everything from bartering in the markets, navigating our many excursions, to history lessons on Ghana and the transatlantic slave trade. We loved and learned so much that we will never forget. When we return to Ghana, we would only trust Afro Nyanka and Yvonne as our tour guide. She is more than a friend and is indeed family. If you want a trustworthy, dependable, personable, knowledgeable, and extremely talented tour guide experience, look no further!

Incredible experience visiting Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Castle, and Elmina Castle in an action packed day with our lovely guide Noble and driver Patrick! Noble took such great care of my friends and I, we felt safe and welcome everywhere we went. Transportation was efficient and comfortable for our hours in the van and both Noble and the driver were incredibly accommodating with our time schedule and special requests. Noble truly went above and beyond to give us a great experience, joking with us and showing us around so we never felt uneasy. The national park canopy walkway was beautiful and we thoroughly appreciated learning history at both forts we visited. I would certainly recommend this tour for anyone in Takoradi looking to see some key sites in the cape coast area with a limited schedule. Thank you!

Your kind words mean a lot to us, we are proud to have a team that ensures every guest feels safe, welcome, and fully immersed in Ghana’s beauty and history. Noble and Patrick will be thrilled to know their efforts made your day so special. Travelers be warned. What is written in the itinerary is NOT available within one single day. You can EITHER go to the Cape Coast/Elmina castles and Kakum National park OR you can go to the village on stilts. I have no idea why the monument is listed, it's in Accra. This tour struggled from the beginning with a 2 hour delayed departure due to car issues. Once a new car was found, it broke down an hour down the road. We had to prompt our guide to start looking for new drivers after the second time we had to put water in the radiator. A new car was found and we completed the tour, but we arrived back in the dark after 9 hours on the tour (scheduled for 7-8 hours). The new driver that was found did not have a license which caused issues at each police check point, further delaying our travels. The guide was not very informative or talkative and spent a lot of time on his phone. We were never offered a stop for lunch or even to purchase snacks from a roadside vendor. The tours themselves (Kakum and the castles) were lovely and definitely worth it, but I can't in good faith recommend this tour company.
Dear Heather, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your tour and regret that it did not meet your expectations. We acknowledge that the original description of the tour on Viator may have led to some confusion, as it listed multiple destinations that cannot realistically be completed within a single day. Once we recognized this error, we reached out to you both via the Viator messaging platform and on WhatsApp prior to the tour date to clarify and offer a choice between the two available options: (1) Cape Coast/Elmina Castles and Kakum National Park (7–8 hours), or (2) Sekondi-Takoradi City Tour. (4 hours) You kindly responded with, “We would want the longer tour please,” and based on that, we proceeded with the Cape Coast and Kakum itinerary, which is the more time-intensive option. We appreciate your understanding in confirming this prior to the tour. We are truly sorry for the transportation challenges on the day of the tour, which were unexpected and clearly impacted your experience. While we acted quickly to find alternative vehicles, the situation fell short of our service standards. We also take full responsibility for the lack of meal/rest stops and have since taken steps to ensure that all guides are thoroughly briefed to avoid such oversights in the future. We are especially concerned about your comments regarding the guide’s conduct. We do not condone the use of mobile phones during active guiding, and we take very seriously any feedback indicating a lack of professionalism or engagement. This matter has been addressed internally, and we are taking corrective action to ensure this does not happen again. We are grateful that you still enjoyed the actual visits to Kakum and the castles, and we are working to ensure that future guests experience the level of professionalism and reliability we strive for. Your feedback helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again under better circumstances. Warm regards,
