I am National Tour guide in addition to a gemologist. The guests will be very much welcome to request any special request / attractions in addition to Gem tour. As the title of the tour mentions also “Gem Tour to Ratnapura,” all the activities under the experience will take place within the city of “Ratnapura.” The guests will be able to understand the entire process of producing a finished gemstone from the stage of finding a rough stone up to making a finished product after cutting and polishing. They will be able to see a great collection of different gemstone categories in rough, semi-polished, and complete stages. This tour can be enjoyed by anyone without any age barrier or physical capacity. Whoever loves to see gemstones, gem collectors, or those who do not know the skilled expertise background involved in making a finished gemstone (as a fresh experience).

Guests will be picked up from any convenient location and travelling to Ratnapura
Visiting a live gem market We will be visiting most famous open air gem market in Ratnapura to understand how the trading take place
Visiting a live gem mine We will be visiting one of the active gem mines closer to Ratnapura town and understand the initial process
Visit a special Gem Outlet We will be collecting the rough gem we had given in the morning for cut and polish
Visit a Gem Showroom We will be visiting a reputed Gem Showroom to get a broad idea how the finished products look like at the end.
Travel back to Colombo We will be heading back to Colombo after accomplish our goals under flexible timing.
