Description
Get an introduction to the genius of one of the world's most famous architects on a 2.5-hour walking tour of Antoni Gaudí’s Barcelona. Meet your guide on Plaça Reial, near the Rambla boulevard, the site of one of Gaudí's first commissions. Stroll over to Palau Güell to admire the impressive façade of the mansion he built for the industrial tycoon, Eusebi Güell. Next, take a short Metro ride to Passeig de Gràcia, and explore the façades of his 2 best-known houses: Casa Batlló and Casa Milà/La Pedrera. See some of Gaudi’s typical motifs, such as organic, undulating building styles, the use of mosaic tiles, and twisting balconies of wrought iron. Continue by Metro to Sagrada Familia. Learn all the intricacies of Gaudí’s basilica, which commenced in 1882 and left unfinished at the time of his death in 1926. The iconic monument is a masterclass in Gaudi’s radical and innovative work.

Katharyn was wonderful! My sisters and I planned this tour for our mother’s 75th birthday. Our guide was accommodating, informative, and so thoughtful and insightful. We enjoyed every aspect of the tour and agreed it was our best day in Barcelona!
Lisa was wonderful and careful to make all feel included. She went over the scheduled 2 1/2 hours because she answered every question in detail. Lisa recommended a terrific restaurant near La Sagrada Família where we had a delicious lunch (Bendita). Thank you for everything.
Fantastic! Julie was an excellent communicator, and very patient with our relentless questions. Tour covered so many places, and we all learned a full history of Gaudi, his buildings, and also of the history of Barcelona. Well done, Julie!
an exceptional tour w/ Javier. so knowledgeable and helpful. saw la Pedrera & sagrada familia both. escorted me to & from my hotel. worth every penny!!
Julia was an amazing tour guide, she might be small but she's mighty and funny! Had an amazing time in Barcelona and this was one of highlights of my trip. Highly recommend!
Super passionate guide who explains Gaudi’s work very well
The tour was very informative in covering the timeline of Gaudi’s career from the lamp posts in Place Reial to Sagrada Família. Julie kept the tour at a good pace while covering the travel over the large distance involved. One can learn a lot about many of the details on the Sagrada Família Facades from her without purchasing the entrance ticket to the SAGRADA Familia.
Diana was an outstanding guide for my wife and I. ~4hour walking tour of Gothic area and than short cab ride to Sagrada Família which is must go for everyone. Descriptions and pictures don’t do it justice.
What is a good introduction to the monuments to visit them later with a magnificent context? With that information, one enjoys the city, the transportation, and everything in general.
Lisa is a great guide! Very knowledgeable and personable. We learned so much! Recommend!
