The Temple of Garni is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia. Built in the Ionic order in the village of Garni, Armenia, it is the best-known structure and symbol of pre-Christian Armenia.
Geghard ( meaning "spear") is a medieval monastery in the Kotayk province of Armenia, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with enhanced protection status.
“One of the most peaceful places and the clouds came in front of the Mount Ararat, but still looked beautiful”, – writes National Geographic about this wonderful place. The Arch of Charents was erected in 1957 and named in honour of Armenian poet Eghishe Charents, who wrote the best poem, dedicated to Armenia, full of true love and pride. They say, Charents loved this place and used to visit it frequently.
Symphony of Stones In the province of Kotayk, not far from the village Garni is situated one of the most well-known and beautiful natural monuments of Armenia – Symphony of Stones. It is said that this natural monument is the result of the collapse of the volcanic rocks.
