Everything ran smoothly, i was the only participant on the night, picked up by car and got a history lesson re the dancing show. The show was good, worth a look. As it was late finishing, there wasnt much to see outside, some mexican musos hoping to entertain people for a fee. The museum wasnt open, but the food court was. My guide was a thorough gentleman, as the historic area was in lockdown and there was no vehicle access, he kindly walked me back to my hotel as it was quite late.
Hi Diane! Thank you for sharing your experience. We are thrilled to hear everything ran smoothly and that you enjoyed the show. We are especially proud of your guide's gentlemanly gesture, walking you safely to your hotel due to the historic area lockdown. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. Thanks for choosing us and safe travels!
Jorge was an amazing tour Guy,the show is very impressive
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We are delighted that the Garibaldi Night Tour exceeded your expectations and that our guide, Jorge, contributed to making it an amazing experience. We appreciate your preference and hope to be your chosen agency again on your next visit to Mexico!
I booked this tour because they advertised pick up and drop off at our hotel (Galeria Plaza Reforma). I got texts messages on WhatsApp and iMessage from Mexitours’ Karla confirming that pick was going to be at 20:45. We sat in the lobby from 20:15 to 22:45. No pick up! Mexitours ignored messages asking for updates.
I booked this tour, I received texts from Mexitours confirming pick up at my hotel lobby at 20:45. I was not picked up. Viator customer support dismissively told me they would contact them and « if I had any other concerns or tours that I am interested in »
The tour never happened. I called, texted and finally they told me the tour was full. They asked if I could go in another night. I requested a full refund at least three times.
Gabriela, the guide, was knowledgeable and the visit to Garibaldi including the show was excellent. However, the van did not have good seat belts. Some did not work at all. We also noticed that the driver/guide did not wear hers.
Thank you so much for you comment! There is no doubt that Garibaldi has an amazing show. We apologize for the inconvenience, We are taking actions to still offer you a quality product. We really appreciate your opinion and hope to see you again very soon!
The Garabaldi by night experience has plus and minuses – it is basically a good experience. Communication regarding pick-up and transfer was excellent. We knew what was coming and it was on time. We had several pick-ups, and our van was full – Our Guide had his hand full moving between English and Spanish. We were fortunate to be with a good group, surprisingly even including a group from our home state of New Jersey. The Guide could have presented how the experience was going to evolve – from the tour of the Tequila Museum until the actual performance. In the yard Mariachis are everywhere -The seating is tight, the performance was traditional and festive- a little miffed that when calling out the representative audience groups by country los Estados Unidos was only called once and then not again in the roll call by other performers – the drinks were good and we got what we wanted a cultural experience .
Thank you for your review! We’re happy to hear you had a great overall experience, from the smooth pick-up to the Tequila Museum and the Mariachi performance. We appreciate your feedback on the audience roll call. While the show follows its traditional format, we believe that all guests are equally important and valued. We're glad you enjoyed the cultural experience and the drinks! We look forward to serving you again in the future and are always at your service. Best regards!
We were contacted via Whats App and told to meet at the Tequila Musuem when we arrived at the Tequila Musuem ON TIME no one was responding via whats app and there was no tour guide waiting. We called the emergency number where there was only a Spanish-speaking representative where we do not speak Spanish. We finally found the establishment, Garabaldi Nights which the show started by then rudely told by staff that we were not on their guest list for a party of 8. After being left standing outside trying to figure out what to do a person came out and waved us in and sat us at a makeshift table. We were told we had one free drink included with our “tour” per person - we didn't receive that. Finally, a rude tour member came to us and was yelling at us while the show was on. One of our kids who was not feeling well had to order food because his blood sugar was getting low and the food came out extremely cold. When the head of our table went to speak to a manager about this experience STAFF AT THE RESTUARANT, tried to corner him as if they were about to be aggressive toward him. We walked out and the same rude tour member, a stocky woman with short hair, followed us aggressively and demanded we stay, we were so uncomfortable with the service and treatment by this tour we left on the spot. This was an awful experience especially in an unfamiliar country. I would stay away from this tour, we were also promised another tour with lights and other Mexican revolution landmarks and did not receive any of that. I'm reading this is happening frequently from other reviews. I wouldn't go here, nor deal with Viator and this tour company. When you go to the actual websites and book directly you'll find Viator tour companies charge triple the amount of the actual cost. This goes for Xoximilco tours (which you don't need to book ahead of time and they are way cheaper in person) the nighttime and daytime bus tours of Mexico City, the companies scam tourists.
Dear Mr. Rene Candelario, Regarding your Garibaldi Night Tour service, as you know, it was a shared tour, with pick-up at our meeting point (Av. De la República 154, Col. Tabacalera) but decided to make on your own, the way to Garibaldi, so we asked you to be at the entrance of the Tequila Museum at 20:30 hrs to join the group. However, the guide tried to locate you at the meeting point without success, which caused her to arrive later at the restaurant. Upon your arrival, the restaurant contacted us, and although you didn't come with the reserved group, they did everything possible to offer you the corresponding service. One of the advantages of booking online is the access to a preferential table and a smooth entry process. Regarding the tour accompaniment, we typically provide detailed explanations of the places visited and assistance throughout the tour. However, you refused to join the group from the restaurant nor accepted to receive the guide’s explanation after the show, despite our full willingness to provide the service you were lost. Unfortunately, you chose not to take this option. At Mexitours, we strive to offer a quality service, with international support through platforms like Viator, which allows us to provide our passengers with a safe and reliable experience. We understand that some more affordable options may be available through direct services, but we firmly believe that the value of our services lies in the safety, support, and quality of the attention we offer something that providers do not always guarantee without the reach that Viator can offer. We appreciate your feedback and remain committed to improving our services for future experiences. We look forward to having the pleasure of welcoming you on another adventure soon. Best regards.
Mexitours excellent service And their work staff is very friendly ☺️🤗 I recommend them Throughout the tour they explain each place, everything you want to know, they are very well organized
Muchas gracias por compartir su experiencia con nosotros, nos alegra que haya pasado un tiempo fantástico. Sus comentarios son muy valiosos y ayudarán a otros viajeros a elegir la experiencia Mexitours con nuestros tours. ¡Saludos!
Not able to understand Spanish we could not follow the lyrics of songs but enjoyed the melody and dances. Not worth going unless you understand Spanish. Also, due to traffic delays our driver could not show us the lights of Mexico City as promised on this tour which we had looked forward to.
Dear Suranja. Thanks for your comments, The show is about our folklor and Mexican traditions and this are in Spanish. Have a nice day.
