Our pub crawl is not only about drinking; it's an adventure that celebrates the rich history, tragedy, and triumph of the city on stilts. **Bar locations are provided as examples - other locations will be visited - requests are welcome** Listen to true tales of gangs, prostitutes, and pirates who frequented the very streets on which you will be walking. Expect to visit 2-3 popular local bars and listen to an expert guide share personal stories of the Island's history & tell you it's tales. Note** tour itinerary as listed is subject to crowds, business hours, and the group's preference! Not all locations will be visited.**

We had such a great time on this tour! Mike was an awesome guide, super knowledgeable and you could tell he genuinely loves Galveston and its history. We were hoping for more history than ghost stories, and that’s exactly what we got, though I think that’s because Mike was just reading his audience. The stories about the old red-light district were fascinating, and Mike had so many details you just don’t hear anywhere else. One of the best parts of the night wasn’t even on the tour itself. Mike left us with the other tour couple at a nearby restaurant, and we wound up talking for hours. It’s not often we meet other people with a genuine interest in history. It was such an unexpected bonus and made an already great evening even better.

Mike was great. As a 9th generation native he knew the torrid history of the area well. The next to last pub on the tour was Earline's downtown Dive, it is a newly opened local artists bar built in the former opera house... very nice vibe.

Dress comfortable!!! the distance from start to finish is not far, but comfortable shoes will make a difference. When you get to the start point, get a drink to take with you during the tour. You will get a chance for photo ops at each location as well as a sunset photo at the rooftop bar at the Tremont hotel. Be prepared to learn something new because Rob has a lot of knowledge to share.
