Wonderful tour, lots of history.

Very informative tour and some tasty treats along the way. I just wish Francesca had a louder voice over the din of the city.

Lots of great info and a variety of sights!

Our guide Francesca is extremely knowledgeable and personable! She showed us opportunities to purchase goods but never felt like she was "selling" us, even though I imagine there's some benefit to her if we did buy. I would say the only downside would be that Francesca needs to try to speak louder given all the city noise and the group being spread out a bit because of the heat. Speaking of heat, the churches provided nice relief. That said, there might have been too many church visits. I did appreciate that she warned us about shops and churches being closed during our initial appointment time and allowed us to change to an earlier time so that we wouldn't miss anything. Thank you!

Francesca is awesome and Gallipoli is beautiful

We spent a couple of hours in Gallipoli with Francesca, a native of the town, who took us all over the old town telling us about the history and the people and the way of life in Gallipoli. I especially loved all of the stories about the saints that are important in the town culture, the churches of the brotherhoods, etc. And she gave us a wonderful recommendation for lunch.

Explore Gallipoli on your own!

Gallipoli is beautiful. But the best part of it can be explored on your own without a guide. While the guide was good - I didn't learn anything I didn't already know from tours in other puglia towns.

Amazing intro to Gallipolli

We really enjoyed our tour with Fabio. He was personable and knowledgeable and gave us great background on the town and showed us many sights. I would highly recommend a tour with him. He also gave us some help with finding a winery in the surrounding area, something we would not have found without his help. This tour was a highlight of our trip in Puglia.
