Description
For the bird lovers, it is their opportunity to watch birds of different kinds. Their chipping makes for melodious music as you sail along the mangrove forest. You get the chance to spot occasional crocodiles basking by the river bank. A motorized canoe allows you a fun trip up the river and back to the sandbank where you get to swim and enjoy the beautiful white sand. Pick up from Mombasa (North coast) is between 5.30 am to 6.00 am with extra charge of 15 - 20 USD per person depending on group size. Minimum number of people required to be picked up from North Coast (Mombasa) and South Coast (Diani) is 2 people Pick ups in Diani Hotels or villas is between 7.30am to 8.00am Exact pickup time is advised before your travel date by our reservationist

The day was pleasant. The visit to Funzi Island was excellent, with a more special visit to a school and the village. Everyone welcomed us with open arms. The boat ride on the river was good too, although we didn't get a chance to see the crocodiles. I also recommend the guide Mohamed, professional and caring with his clients.
