100% recommend! My recommendations for the tour and clothing are at the end! This experience was amazing from start to finish! The communication and customer service were excellent, they responded to my questions within minutes. I mainly wanted to make sure getting there and back with Uber/rideshare would be easy and it is. For anyone booking, I definitely recommend using Barceló Puerto Vallarta as your drop off/pick up location for Uber or rideshare. From there, you can communicate with the tour staff easily, and they may already be there waiting for you. The horseback riding tour itself was beautiful and beginner friendly, no matter your riding experience level. Plus they will give you a lesson in the begging before starting. I had such a great time. The scenery was gorgeous, and the guides made the entire experience feel comfortable and fun. One of my favorite parts was the restaurant stop. The food was really good, the drinks were delicious (I had two margaritas!), and the outdoor area was beautiful. We actually got into the water near the restaurant before our food came out, then relaxed, ate, air dried, and got right back on the horses. We didn’t even need towels. A few tips for future guests: • Bring cash if possible because cards are about 5% more. • The restaurant food and drinks are definitely worth it. • If wearing pants, wear lightweight breathable/waterproof pants. • Shorts are completely fine too, I wore cargo shorts, but avoid very short shorts because the ride could become uncomfortable. If you wear shorts, make sure you put mosquito spray on, but if you do forget they do have some for you
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a great time on this horseback ride in Mismaloya. The terrain was beautiful and one of the most fun parts was riding the horses through the small streams along the trail. Our guide Emmanuel was excellent—very friendly and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe before and during the ride. Our horses Margarita, Paloma, and Popeye were calm, easy to ride, and clearly very well cared for. They made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. If you're visiting Puerto Vallarta and looking for a fun outdoor adventure, this is definitely worth doing. Thank you Emmanuel for such a great experience! Tip for future guests: ask for Emmanuel as your guide! 🐎
The guides were kind, helpful and made sure we had a great time. It was just right for my 8 and 10 year old kids! The horses know the route well, so the kids basically just need to hold on and enjoy. Beautiful views of the mountains. Lots of little stream crossings through the forest. The short break time for a swim or snack before heading back was nice.
This was one of the best experiences of our lives. The scenery was breathtaking, the horses were wonderful, and the service was fantastic. So much fun. Highly recommended!! We will do this every time we visit Puerto Vallarta.
We had a large group. They did a great job of leading us and making sure everyone was comfortable. My daughters loved the trip. My youngest (6) was nervous and they did a great job of making her feel comfortable. They walked her horse the whole time. The trip did include crossing a couple of streams which was really cool, but your shoes may get wet. The scenery was beautiful and all the horses were very calm. There was a nice stop halfway where you could swim or hike. There was also zip lining and food for an additional purchase.
This was a great way to spend the morning. The horses were gentle and the tour guide was friendly and informative. Bring *bug spray*, sunscreen, a hat, a towel and swimsuit in case you’d like to swim. Once you’re up to the location bring additional money for snacks, drinks, zip lines, etc. I like the fact that this is family owned and operated. Leave a tip to support their business.
What an incredible experience! This small, local family-owned business really knows how to make you feel at home. The horses were wonderful—well-trained and calm—and our tour guide was warm, knowledgeable, and really went the extra mile to ensure we had an unforgettable time. It’s clear they care deeply about what they do! Just a heads-up: bring bug spray, wear jeans for comfort, and pack a change of clothes if you're planning to swim. This adventure is one for the books, and supporting a local gem like this made it even more special. Highly recommend!
I was very apprehensive as I've had a bad experience with a horse. They made me feel comfortable and the tour was relaxing, although scary at some points when the horses would walk tiny trails with rocks/boulders. But they are well trained and taken care of. Support this family business that goes backn2 generations. Emmanuel (didnt get the other older gentleman's name) were so nice. Please dont forget to tip!
Beautiful scenery, fun crossing a couple creeks. Nice break from the busy beaches of Puerto Vallarta. Saw some wildlife and it was fun to take a quick dip in the spring at El Eden. The horses look all well cared for, and gentle. The guides were great.
Very well organized and fun trip with lots of scenery. The guides were great and helpful. Most everyone on the trip had never been on a horse, but all had a great time.
