We had a fabulous time on the canopy tour and our time at Monkeyland. We didn't see the birds because we bungee jumped instead. Our guide Anthony was very pleasant and accommodating. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area. He picked us up in Port Elizabeth and transported us to the area we did the activities. He acted as our guide. Chauffeur and photographer. Highly recommend.
Hi Joan, Thank you for your wonderful review! Myself and the Alan Tours Team greatly appreciate it! I am so glad you enjoyed your day on tour and adventuring with me. I really enjoyed having you all as guests! The visist to Monkeyland and the Canopy Tour are always exciting, but watching you bungee jump was more than enough adrenaline for me, haha. I indeed wear many hats while on tour and I love it! Again, thank you for your wonderful review and if you are ever in this part of the world again, we will be here ;) It was lovely meeting you all! Kind regards and stay safe Anthony
I decided my husband and I should do the zip line experience, being a senior citizen wasnt going to put me off. My husband was not at all keen, but I was rearing to go. The welcome was warm and informative, the gear suitable , although my gloves had several holes in them, not good on a zip line where friction burns could be very painful. Guides was really good fun and encouraged everyone in the group to participate in loud screaming etc., It came my turn and after the lst station I really did not enjoy at all. Unfortunately, there is no way down and you have to complete the l0-stations each one getting longer and faster. I panicked on number six and had to tandum with our guide, who shouted lift your feet coming in to land, but unfortunately, panic was in control and I hit my ankle against the landing station. Very painful, but had to finish the course assisted. No real first aid applied, sprayed with deep heat, but no support bandages etc., Do think facility could have done better. Eventually found I had broken my tipula. However, my husband thoroughly enjoyed the experience, this one was just not for me. Perhaps a little bit more first aid knowledge would have been helpful and an emergency escape route should the need arise.
Hi Travelhappywithus, We have just noticed your review on our website and we have no record of anyone being booked through Alan Tours to do a Canopy tour on a Fun and adventure FD10,Surges of Adrenaline along the famous Garden route tour at all this year. I am not sure how this review landed up on our page but it certainly does not belong here. Please could you ask Tripadvisor to remove this review and place it on the site where it was intended. Thank you for your co-operation Hope you get better soon, Alan Fogarty
