Exclusive VIP visit to the Unity Park allows you to see parts of the palace that are only open for VIP visitors, Explore the historic Unity Park, a beautiful green space located within the National Palace compound. Discover the rich history and cultural significance of the park as you stroll through its gardens and visit various attractions and animals such as the Abyssinian Lion the rare lion species and the symbol of the Ethiopian Royals “The Lion of Judah” and other birds and wild animal species. Lunch stop before proceeding to our next stop
Meyazia 27 Square Monument AKA the Victory Monument is located Near The grand palace, the Parliament office and the Ministry of Education. It is a Monument to mark the victory against the Italian Colonial Power.
Continue with the National Museum of Ethiopia. This is one of the best museums in quality and diversity of the exhibits. Archeological exhibits include the 3.5 million-year-old fossil of Lucy (or Dinkinesh thou art wonderful- in the native language), a hominoid woman of the specious of Australopithecus Afarensis. The discovery of Lucys fossil in 1974 forced a complete rethink of human genealogy, providing that our ancestors were walking 2.5 million years earlier than had been supposed. The National Museum also contains many wonderful artifacts dating back to pre-Axumite civilization. Optional Souvenir Shopping** - Take some time to browse and shop for souvenirs at local markets or craft shops, where you can find unique handicrafts, textiles, and other treasures to remember your trip by. So much packed into this full day tour: ethnography, churches, Mercato, entoto, coffee! Desale was a great guide and kept us on schedule, he was always ready to answer questions which was great for me as a someone who had previously lived in Ethiopia 15 years prior.
Luel, my guide, was very knowledgeable and had filled the whole tour with useful and interesting facts. He was happy to answer any questions I had. He was also very attentive and went out of his way to make sure I had a good trip.
