Ait Benhaddou is an interesting Day Trip from Marrakech after you cross the High Atlas Mountains, Ait Benhaddou is the UNESCO site classified since 1987 where few families are still living in Ait Benhaddou. Take a walk and cross the dried river to dominate the the kasbahs of Ait Benhaddou. Have a Free time to explore the kasbahs of Ait Benhadou and have lunch by your own in a local restaurant overlooking the Ksar. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka.

We will pass through Tizi n'Tichka, the highest passes in North africa, we will stop at some points for coffee breaks and breathtaking.
We will stop at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou the UNESCO site classified since 1987, Explore the town and Berber village. Have lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the Ksar.
Arrive at Ouarzazate. See the Atlas studio from just the entrance outside. Then go to the Kasbah Taourirt another Palace of Pacha El Glaoui.
We will drive back to marrakech through Tizi n'Tichka, on the way back we will take breaks for snacks, coffee, smoking...

This trip is worth it mainly for ait ben haddou. The old city is fantastic and offers great views. Our driver, Oussama, was great as well; very efficient at getting us to our destinations and knowledgeable about them.

Ayoub was great. Very flexible with our family of 5 made up of three young kids. My son sat in the front with him and made him listen to all his favorite songs ha! Ait Ben Haddou is amazing and definitely worth a day trip and has a little bit of something for every age group!

Visiting the ksar at Ait Benhaddou was the highlight and it is indeed worth visiting: really something else! Alas, the organisation around it was somewhat shaky, the driver quite cranky and the drive a bit long. Then again, the food was good where we stoppen and the watching a guy make paintings with original material was interesting. Prepare to be in a car 2/3 of the day. And you buy just the drive, nothing else. Ouarzazate was not really worth it. The studios nearby were a fun escape.

Ayoub was a driver and a guide in the same time. He offered good information about the places that we visited and he blended us in the Moroccans tradition introducing us into the local houses. I recommend hom for the effectiveness and the atmosphere of the trip.
