Itinerary
When we reach the slopes of the white mountain and enter the cultural area of Pamukkale, we make our first visit here to the ancient city of Hierapolis. We visit this ancient city, which is at the highest point of Pamukkale Mountain, with our experienced guides. While strolling through the streets of the ancient city of Hierapolis, we take lots of photographs. On the other hand, we listen to the information given by our expert guides and learn the importance of this ancient city and which civilizations it hosts.
You will be able to observe the Roman and Byzantine textures in the gates, columns, temples, caves, tombs, altars and statues of it. Surely, your mind will expand after this stream of information.
After visiting the Hierapolis ancient city and learning impressive information, we give you free time to explore Pamukkale. For 2 hours, you can examine the naturally occurring Pamukkale travertines and terraces, enter the white mud and benefit from the thermal waters. You cannot hide your astonishment when you see many historical ruins such as gates, columns, temples, cages and tombs from the Roman and Byzantine empires. When you get tired of walking, you can enter the hot and healing waters of the Cleopatra Pool (by paying an extra fee), which is fed by the city's hot springs. Total travel time will be 8 hours.

My trip was cancel the day before because my hotel “was not in the route” but this information was not provided when I checked the availability for the day.
Tour was great, unfortunately my bad review is because the agency booking agent got confused with pickup point and he even was rude when we called him. We had to spend time and money to change pick up point and the agency was not willing to assume responsibility nor partial refund.
Dear Guest, I’m the person you referred to in your review. It was actually you who requested several changes to the pickup location. Despite this being a group tour with fixed logistics, you insisted on being the last picked up and refused to walk a mere 20 meters to the designated point. When we spoke on the phone, you were disrespectful and raised your voice at me. All communication records are saved, and it’s worth noting that you requested a refund even before the tour began. Your refund request was reviewed and fairly declined by Viator, as it was deemed unjustified. It’s unclear to me why you believe you're entitled to a refund for changes you personally demanded. It's also unrealistic to expect someone you shouted at to remain overly courteous in return. We always try to accommodate our guests sincerely, but mutual respect is essential. On the same day, we had several other guests booked for the exact same tour, and we did not experience a single issue with any of them. That will continue to be the case. Best regards,
This trip was so horribly organized, that we thought we were in some kind of comedy program. We knew Pamukkale was far away and they had to pick us up really early. But they stopped the bus 3 times. We were so many people that we used 3 buses and they kept trying to split us between rushians, polish and english speakers. Stop for breakfast, horrible place, very crowded. Then they make silly stops in expensive jewelry shops or wine shops. When arrived at Pamukkale guide didn't wait for us. Well, he had to check in his little boy, so just walked away. Barely any information given and just a time given to return to the bus. Lunch break wasn't much better than breakfast... I think it can be done with better organization and proffesionalism.
Dear laurix83 We’re sorry to hear that your experience on the Full-Day Tour to Pamukkale did not meet your expectations. We truly value all feedback and always aim to provide well-organized, enjoyable, and comfortable tours for our guests. We would like to address some of your concerns: 1️⃣ Multiple Stops & Bus Organization: Pamukkale is indeed a long journey from Bodrum, and scheduled stops are necessary for rest and refreshments. The division of guests based on languages is meant to ensure better communication with guides, rather than cause confusion. 2️⃣ Shopping Stops: These stops are optional, and guests are not obliged to buy anything. Many travelers enjoy these visits to local artisans and specialty shops, which are an important part of Turkish culture. 3️⃣ Guide & Information Issues: We are concerned to hear about the guide walking away. This is not the standard service we provide, and we will investigate this matter further. 4️⃣ Meals & Breaks: We collaborate with restaurants that can accommodate large groups, but we understand that individual experiences may vary. We will review our choices to improve future tours. While we regret that this tour did not meet your expectations, many of our guests leave positive reviews and enjoy this experience. If you had reached out to us during the tour, we could have tried to improve the situation for you. If you would like to discuss your experience further or provide additional feedback, please feel free to contact us. We truly appreciate your input and will take it into account for future improvements. Best regards, Sami - Pukka Travel
We had to share the tour with a large Russian group. Their guide was very loud and argumentative with my husband when asked to lower her volume on the way back. English guide abandoned us sbout the last 1.5 hrs of the journey back.
Pamukkale and Hierapolis were amazing. However, the guides were average, with the Polish guide being slightly rude. They wanted to sell us tickets for Cleopatra pools for 450 liras. But when challenged that's not the correct price, she just said that's their price. Make sure you don't buy tickets from them, as the price at the entrance is 340 liras. Also, Viator app shows incorrect price for the pools. They were also rushing us to finish lunch so they can take us to some local shop where they tried to sell overpriced fruit wine for 30€ and olive oil for 60€. But they didn't seem to rush from that place. We generally enjoyed Pamukkale but the everything else was slightly annoying.
Well organised, punctual. Efficient english and Russian speaking guides. Appropriate number of stops. It would have been better if the guide stayed with us inside Pamukkale too. We went in July and it was too hot to enjoy, so bear in mind what time of the year you choose to go!
The limestone terraces, thermal springs and Hierapolis remain unforgettable. Although the journey from Bodrum by bus was quite long, it was worth it. Thank you all involved for the perfect organization and great trip.
The only good thing about this trip was the warm Cleopatra pool, which you have to pay extra for anyway! Save yourself £200 and don’t go ! Awful driving, I thought we were gonna go over the cliff every single bend and going up and down the mountains it felt like a final destination scene !! Got ripped off at every stop with pushes to buy more and more as well as the so called free lunch buffet being very tasteless and full of flies ! In a nutshell , don’t book it as you will regret it !
The scenery and pool was nice but that’s it. And looks nothing like it does I the photos of the lush blues and greens. Complete scam fest all the way. Driver was a complete maniac and think the axel of the wheel was about to come off. It Said 130 on the booking for the pool but the reps charged us 250 on the coach. One of the reps tried to take double that off one of the tourists until we stepped in and told her the correct price. Everything so expensive, the lunch was dreadful and not fit to serve a dog. Every stop we had was a scam fest and just trying to get your money. The wine tasting started out good but was just 4 half shot glasses of fruit wine which was very good but the whole thing was just a massive sales pitch to go next door and get robbed! As we walked next door was literally jumped on by every worker in every department very aggressively shouting to buy stuff and then kept loading more on top of you. I found that really aggressive and got so annoyed we left without buying anything. The pools are beautiful and well worth seeing but the money we spent and the awful journey was not worth the money we will never be doing that again. Turkey is just ripping everyone off now. It’s a shame as I love turkey but don’t think we will be coming back again.
We really enjoyed this trip! We were picked up outside our hotel (however, this wasn’t smooth riding! There was bad communication between us and the driver and at one point we were unsure if they’d arrive) and then taken to the bus we were using for our journey. The journey to Pamukkale was enjoyable and we stopped for breakfast too. The Guide we had was really nice and well-informed. Whatever we didn’t know history-wise he told us in an enjoyable way. When we got to Pamukkale, we were told he history and then given a couple of hours to explore by ourselves- we had enough time to enjoy Cleopatra’s pool (water was warm and very enjoyable, the pool wasn’t too deep either- it’s definitely not something to skip) and to walk around exploring it all. Lunch was provided- it was a buffet with a vast range of foods. It was delicious. We had various stops to learn more about the culture, both on our way there and back. Overall a lovely day trip and something I would definitely recommend!
