We had booked a trip to Samaria Canyon and going the day before up, to check the pickup out. Meeting a nice receptionist at the hotel, who informs us where the bus will park, however, she also informs us that the Samariaklift has not been opened in 2026 yet, due to much rain. She calls for booking via Samaria Canyon - and they confirm this. We are very surprised that we did not get this directly known through the "trip provider" - and contact them directly. There are less than 15 hours until departure at this time and when we get them, they confirm that the trip has been cancelled and offer us another trip. We are very surprised that we have to contact them - and that they do not contact us!!!
We never heard from the company about startbor pick up time after they charged us. We waited, called, text- no response. I was out of my money and still didn't get to see the gorge. Found out on another hike the gorge was closed due to water- still no word from the company that took my fees. Again, called and did everything I could on my end- zero communication from them. I wouldn't recommend using this company to book a trip anywhere. Very disappointed.
Excellent, well organised trip. A little busy at the start of the decent being has there were alot of coaches arriving at once. The Samaria gorge is beautiful and I found it alot easier than i imagined . All information was given by the guide and it all went smoothly. After a 6hr ramble we arrived at the ocean where after a couple of hours wait we got the ferry back to the coach . Then back to our hotel.
