Our trip will take us in the amazing Otranto seacoast surrounded by a lovely Mediterranean scrubland. I'll drive you to Otranto, one of the most beautiful coastal villages in Salento, where you can have your independent tour enjoying the ancient city. After that we transfer to the Bauxite Lake and to the Palascia Lighthouse with their breathtaking views. In Torre Sant'Andrea and Torre dell'Orso you could find out the clearest water you've ever seen in Puglia and one of the most beautiful natural pools in the world. The visit times will be very flexible, depending on your needs, and you could also swim in your favorite place, so bring your swim gear.

Transfer from Lecce to Otranto 45 min - Otranto, one of the most lovely coastal villages in Salento. Every corner highlight the different civilizations who lived here like Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans and Aragonese. You'll have free time for visiting the amazing Cathedral, the Saint Peter Church in Byzantine style, the Castle and the impressive walls that surround the whole ancient city.
Transfer from Otranto to Bauxite Lake 10 min - A small lake grew in an abandoned bauxite quarry, characterized by an impressive red color of the ground surrounded by Mediterranean scrubland. It has become a must-see in the latest years for all tourists. You'll enjoy the whole area after a short walk on a dirt road that will take you to amazing viewpoints.
Transfer from Bauxite Lake to Palascia Lighthouse 10 min - The tall white cylindrical lighthouse on the easternmost point of Italy. Walking along the path you can delight yourself with breathtaking views by the rocky cliff overlooking the Adriatic sea.
Transfer from Palascia Lighthouse to Torre Sant'Andrea 30 min - The Faraglioni cove is a gorgeous sight. The water is the clearest you can find out in Puglia and the backdrop is outstanding. Here you can swim by going down the steps carved into the rock or on the nearby sandy beach, so bring your swimsuit to enjoy the wonderful sea. You can also have your independent lunch in the close restaurants with lovely terraces by the sea.
Transfer from Torre Sant'Andrea to Torre dell'Orso Beach 5 min - You can enjoy the most beautiful and longest sandy beach walking along it, through amazing viewpoints and swimming in the azure sea. Also don't miss to taste the delicious typical sweets in the stunning terrace of the most famous ice cream shop.
Transfer from Torre dell'Orso to Poetry Cave 5 min - You'll visit one of the most beautiful natural pools. You can approach to see the clearest water by going down the steps carved into the rock, but here people can no longer bathe because safety measure, and cause it's a place absolutely to be preserved.

This is such an individual experience and you get to see so many iconic areas of the Salento coast. Roberto (Bob) is the most amazing host and gives you plenty of time to explore each area. We had an excellent sightseeing tour in the company of Bob. Very professional, friendly, and attentive, he made this discovery particularly enjoyable. We had an amazing day with Bob and Sandra! I did not realize when I booked it that it would just be my partner and I, so it was a lovely surprise that it was a private tour. We were picked up in Lecce, a few minutes walk from our Airbnb. Bob was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a map for a great walking tour of Otranto. The itinerary had a stop for a seaside lunch and some other locations we would not have made it to on our own. If you are short on time in Puglia, this was a great way to see more of the region. We had a lovely day today with Roberto and his wife Sandra. The tour was very flexible. We were picked up from our B&B in Otranto and ,as we had already had chance to visit Otranto ,Bob helped us organise a slightly different day. We started at Corallo winery for an excellent winery tour and tasting , and then visited several coastal sites both north and south of Otranto. Highlights were the Poetry cave and Bauxite Lake. The tour was very relaxed , not rushed at all, and Bob was an excellent host throughout the day.
Bob and Sandra were excellent guides. Friendly, knowledgeable. We practiced our Italian and they practiced their English. Highly recommended!
We stayed in Lecce and booked the the coastal tour where bob and his wife gave us a driving tour and multiple stops to view the beautiful landscapes, coast lines and towns along the way allowing for walking the town, enjoying the food and culture at our pace with Bob kindly leading the way. Travel on October 13th in the off-season and the Service was exclusive to me and my lady. Mauricio the Chauffeur and Sandra as a guide gave us a pleasant and professional reception. That is if the tour is not in Spanish, but with the translator of the cell phone we understood perfectly
This tour is fabulous. Maurizio & Rita are so lovely. The sights you see are beautiful and varied - from Otranto to the eastern most point of Europe and then the stunning coast. We were also able to adapt the tour and have lunch at a gorgeous seaside restaurant rather than in Otranto. Being able to travel around safely rather than drive ourselves and without a lot of other tour participants was so stress free and relaxing. I would recommend this tour to everyone!
