In this tour we have combined the main attractions of the Ecuadorian Andes. You will visit the second highest volcano in Ecuador and you will be able to walk in the Limpiopungo lagoon to learn about this national park and the species of animals and plants that live there. Then you will visit the Illinizas reserve where the magical turquoise lagoon is located. Along the way you will be able to enjoy a unique landscape full of color and greenery due to the crops. In Quilotoa you will also learn about our indigenous cultures and visit a naïve style art workshop. The artists paint their life experiences and depict everyday scenes of life in the moor. This is a perfect combination if you only have one day to visit these two attractions.

Itinerary
Visit the second highest volcano in Ecuador, the volcano is located inside of a National Park so you will be visiting a place where nature and animals are protected. Come and discover nature in its purest form.
Inside the National Park is located the Limpiopungo lake, in this area we will make a walk to see local birds and talk about the plants and the way the communities use them.
We will make a stop inside the National Park to look the volcano, if you are lucky you will see the complete volcane and the perfect shape of a cone. This volcano name means ¨neck of the moon¨ because of the shape of the cone. Thw stop will be close to Limpiopungo lake.
After visiting Cotopaxi volcano we will take the Panamericanan highway to the south to visit the turquoise lake. You will enjoy this beaufifull landscape from the lookout and also you will enjoy the Andean ladscape all around.
Quick stop to visit the local artist shops. You will learn about the Naif art and you will discover amazin paintings painted on llama skin.
