After Picking the guests we will head towards one of the coolest spots in the North Georgia mountains - Amicalola Falls State Park. About halfway between Ellijay and Dahlonega off of GA Hwy 52, it's an easy trip from either I-575 N on the west side of metro Atlanta area or GA 400 on the east. Located in Dawsonville, Amicalola Falls State Park is about 70 miles from Atlanta and only about a 1 hour and 20 minute drive. The state park is located near popular North Georgia towns like Dahlonega, Helen, and Ellijay.
A nature lover’s wonderland, it’s only 8 miles from the Appalachian Trail and within the Chattahoochee National Forest. The park is named after its most treasured feature, Amicalola Falls – a magnificent 729-foot waterfall that’s the third-highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River.
With 106,000 acres of Chattahoochee National Forest, 300 miles of hiking trails, the start of the Appalachian Trail and 100 miles of trout streams, Blue Ridge is the perfect place for a romantic getaway and a family vacation. Blue Ridge was once considered an elite health resort because of its pure mineral waters. It was established as a railroad town, with the depot at its heart.
Visit Mercier Orchards, largest orchard in the south, located on Highway 5 just outside Blue Ridge. Pick apples off the tree, buy fresh apple cider and the best fried apple pies – a true farm to table experience. Treat the family to a farm tractor tour and u-pick strawberries, blueberries and apples in season. The new tasting room features homemade hard cider from the freshest Mercier grown fruit.
One of Georgia’s prettiest state parks, including scenic Lake Trahlyta, which has a swimming beach with paddle boats. A short hiking trail along the lake leads you to an observation deck to view the falls. Directly below Lake Trahlyta is a stepping-stone waterfall

My family reserved through Viator and TripAdvisor for the tour which was canceled last minute with no alternative tour proposed. Poor management, no costumer care despite the high cost of the attraction, despite having reserved through viatorand paid in full in advance.
The whole tour was a scam. The night before departure, the agency Barbil Tours, working through TripAdvisor and Viator, contacted me to ask to change the date. We accepted, but they never honored their promise and canceled our trip at the very last moment with short notice. During our visit to Atlanta, we missed the opportunity to see the surrounding areas and are very disappointed about it. This was an absolute scam — do not fall into this trap.
The natural beauty of Georgia at its very best. Buddy, our guide was very friendly, always open to adapting the itinerary to include visits to national parks, quaint little towns, meal requests, ending at a perfect lookout point on Bell Mointain to watch an amazing sunset.
I had an amazing time! Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and very accommodating to our needs and preferences. He reached out a day before to ask which places we wanted to visit and even sent a detailed itinerary for the day. He remained flexible with any changes along the way, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Buddy was friendly, easygoing, and a true pleasure to tour with. I highly recommend him as a tour guide and driver for future trips

I booked this excursion and was so excited to see scenic Georgia. However, I waited and waited for my host at the pick up location and nobody showed up. I messaged them through the app and nobody responded. I am waiting now to see if they will refund my money or if I have to file a fraud claim with my cc. Disheartening to say the least and now I have to replan a whole day of my trip.
