The day is divided into three parts. Pool Tranquility: Start your day relaxing a while in the “pocitos”; naturally warm thermal pools that provide astounding views that soothe & clear the body and mind –perfect for “the gram.” From here, there is a zip-lining options to get you down to the next part of our day at the river. The experience was AMAZING! Certainly worth the long drive from CDMX. Our Host, Carlos (Charlie) was great and really informative on the history of that part of the Country. All three sections (Pools, Caves, and River) we fun. I suggest that you take the zip line down from the pools to the caves!
The experience was one of a lifetime. The tour guide expertise is amazing such in culture, history and geography. Being bilingual really helps those that cannot speak or understand English, Spanish.
Lalo made my experience unforgettable. He valued our time and energy by being punctual to everything he planned. Everything was so organized and thought out- down to providing toilet paper because the place doesn’t provide it. He mixed a fun filled day with fascinating history. Although I had gone alone, he always made me feel included in everything, like we were on big family going on a trip. My only concern with the trip is I wish the cave exploration was more thorough but an amazing experience nonetheless. He provides you with water proof phone protectors which was amazing for getting incredible photos. Bring an external phone battery charger, my phone died right before the trip back. I would highly recommend this excursion, I never write reviews unless I extremely enjoyed it. Definitely go if you can afford it. Breathtaking.
Honestly, it was the best thing we did out here and Charlie our guide and Ezekiel the driver were awesome, very informative and patient with all of us in the tour
Incredible experience from start to finish! Our tour guide Diego and driver Nico were fantastic, and the company was completely reliable — everything ran exactly according to the shared itinerary. Pickup was well-organized and right on time. One tip: bring your own sunscreen. They do provide some, but it's not quite enough to last the whole day. Tolantongo itself is absolutely worth the visit. Just know it requires a good amount of energy and physical effort — there are plenty of stairs to climb and walking involved. That said, the views are breathtaking, and you're given enough time at each location to really enjoy it.
Was really nice it's just that the trip 3 hours to get there with that van was really uncomfortable and we prepared for the food and was poor quality and quantity was stayed hungry Leo was really nice and helpful I give him 5 stars
Excellent day and service! Our guide (Carlos / Charlie) was very organised and kept us up to date on the pick up times. His English was incredible and easy to follow along with. Tolantongo was incredible! We visited the pools, caves and river! Two things to improve: some finer details about what was happening would have been good (e.g. we bought food at the pools because we thought we weren’t going back to the van but ended up going back before the cave / also didn’t know we were going to the river), and hiring reef shoes should just be included in the total amount (was annoying messing around with cash - $7 pesos each).
Great experience! Our guide, Alejandro (Leo), & driver, Santiago, were both fantastic & very helpful! Definitely bring good sandals with strong straps for the cave & grotto.
Easy day, didn't have to think of a thing. Very thorough communication on what to expect. Great food stops the whole day. Breakfast is included, lunch and dinner were a separate expense. Opportunity for showers at the end of the day after being in the water.
Highly recommend our tour guide danny was so good!
