For lots of fun under the sun, you can't beat a day at South Sea Island. Approx 30 minute ferry ride from Port Denarau. It may be small in size, but there is plenty to keep you entertained. The hardest part is choosing what to do first! There is a salt water swimming pool and FREE use of non-motorized water sports equipment, including kayaking and sailing. Discover the underwater world with hours of snorkelling or jump on board the semi-submersible coral viewer. A tasty BBQ buffet lunch, beer, wine and soft drinks are included while ashore. Although the island is uninhabited, you can still get a taste of Fijian culture with a traditional Meke performance and craft market Monday to Saturday. Complimentary kids club and FREE 30 min WiFi is also offered on this tour Diving (additional cost). For lots of fun under the sun, you can't beat a day at South Sea Island. A day trip to South Sea Island is an easy 30 minute ferry ride from Denarau Marina with South Sea Cruises. It may be small in size, but there is plenty to keep you entertained. The hardest part is choosing what to do first! There is a salt water swimming pool and FREE use of non-motorized water sports equipment, including kayaking and sailing. Discover the underwater world with hours of snorkelling or if you want to stay dry, jump on board the semi-submersible coral viewer. Make sure you keep an eye out for Nemo! A tasty BBQ buffet lunch and beer, wine and soft drinks are included while ashore. Although the island is uninhabited, you can still get a taste of Fijian culture with a traditional Meke performance and craft market Monday to Saturday. Introductory diving (additional cost) is a particular focus on this island with pretty reef formations and plentiful fish making it a first time diver's dream. Start in the pool and then explore the stunning coral gardens and the fish life surrounding the island on a 'Discover Scuba' intro dive. There is also plenty to keep certified divers amused, with several beach dives and a purposefully sunk shipwreck. Diving in this area you can encounter drop offs and wall dives with lots of hard corals, crystal clear water & large schools of pelagic fish.

Please note that the departure time shown on your tour is the VESSEL DEPARTURE TIME FROM PORT DEANRAU, NOT YOUR COACH PICK UP TIME. If you require a hotel pick up, please select your hotel from the list of pick-up points in your booking process. All coach transfers must be pre-booked with our Reservations office at least the day before your tour by phoning our Call Center. The coach pickups commence approximately 75minutes before the vessel departs from Port Denarau. Please check with our reservations team for your coach pickup time or refer to the South Sea Cruises coach timetable on our website for more info.

- Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby or pick up location 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pick up time
- If you do not require pick up, please find your own way to the meeting point - Passenger Terminal, Denarau Marina
- The boat for Nadi and Denarau area customers departs Port Denarau at 9.00am and returns to Denarau at 6.00pm.
- The boat for Coral Coast area customers departs Port Denarau at 10.00am and returns to Denarau at 5.00pm
- In the event of adverse weather and sea conditions, we retain the right to cancel all water-based activities, including snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, and the Subsea Adventure in our semi-submersible.
- Please bring swimsuit, towel, protective clothing from the sun including a hat and sunblock, light jacket or sweater during the cooler months, money or credit card for optional purchases, your camera and sense of fun!

Better for swimming than Malamala. Lovely and relaxing space. Great service too. Fantastic food. Nice hammocks and chairs.
Beautiful day out!! Lots of comfortable seating, felt great whether you were travelling as a family group or a smaller pairing. We did the full day trip and it was lovely, free basic alcohol or soda’s were available, and there was plenty of comfortable seating. There were two activities offered: glass bottom boat ride, and the reef edge snorkelling. I did the snorkelling (although you could do both) and it was awesome! Felt very safe in the water with the guide leading us back to shore, saw some beautiful fish and all around was a great experience. The full day trip felt made a tad too long but it was nice to see the sun starting to set as we made our way home on the boat. There was an option to leave slightly earlier which was a nice idea for some. Massages were offered at a both on the island 20, 30, 45, and 1 hour sessions for a cost. Me and my sister paid $45fjd each for a 30 min massage. These massages were the only down fall of the trip unfortunately. The massage therapist was too heavy handed for both of us to the point of pain, my sister feels bruised days later on her shoulders, even after asking the masseuse to be more gentle. The island entertainment group was awesome, and we got to watch along with eating our delicious lunch that was provided. Honestly a very very nice day all around and we would go again.
Super fun time! Super smooth from booking to getting boarding passes to sailing and the island. Staff were fantastic and willing to help!!! Island was lots of fun!!!
It was very windy on the day making it not really a good day for any activities, the food was okay. The free drinks are a bonus as you do a lot of lying around on windy days. There is no real sand around the water either it makes for sore feet. The team were great in helping load the boats to leave as it was windy and low tide making it really hard for everyone.

Small island, food wasn’t too bad. Pool is very small. The water can be very rough at times which they close of the activity which can make the day boring

You should save your money Everything looks beautiful in the photo. The beach is almost impassable without water shoes due to many coral and shell fragments.

relaxing day on island , good food ,culture dancing drinks included . snorkeling average on the day but you cannot control weather or tides great staff on the island , not a long ferry trip if you have young family

We booked a full day tour from Nadi to South Sea Island. Sadly on our trip it rained. However, it is the experience that counts and the boat sail to South Sea Island went by Malamala Island first. Smaller boats took us from the boat that brought us to the island. The sun came and went. The lunch was extraordinary and plentiful for all who were in attendance. Even seconds given for some. The drinks were never ending. As with anywhere else in Fiji, the people are very welcoming and friendly. Could not do enough. For some visitors who appeared to be in greater need of attention, the locals were too obliging. My only recommendation to South Sea Cruises is not play loud music on the island. I am thinking most of the visitors do not live near the sea with the sounds of waves and the wind through the trees. The loud music takes that experience away. Would I recommend this tour? Absolutely.
