We will begin this tour in the morning, departing from the lobby of your Dead Sea Hotel (Jordanian side) and driving down the desert highway for about 3 hours to reach the astonishing site of the rock city of Petra. The stunning rose-red city of Petra, the crown jewel of Jordan, sits 240 km south of the vibrant capital, Amman. Established around the 6th century B.C. by the adventurous Nabataean Arabs, this nomadic tribe transformed the area into a bustling hub of commerce that stretched as far as Syria. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a thrilling horseback journey into the enchanting Siq canyon, followed by a delightful stroll to the breathtaking Treasury monument. You’ll also encounter other remarkable sights, including the charming Street of Facades, the impressive Royal Tombs, and the fascinating Pharaoh’s Castle. Plus, it’s worth noting that Petra has earned its place as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World!

Enjoy a memorable full-day Petra adventure starting from the serene Dead Sea. Your friendly driver will warmly pick you up from your hotel by the Dead Sea and then take you on a scenic drive to the iconic Petra site. Relax and take in the stunning views as our English-speaking driver guides you along the picturesque Desert Highway to Petra. Keep in mind, the journey will take about 3 hours, but we're making it special with a pleasant stop along the way to enhance your experience!
Once you arrive at the visitor center in Petra, your driver will assist with purchasing your tickets, and a local guide (optional) can provide more information about the area’s architecture and history.
The stunning rose-red city of Petra truly shines as the main attraction in the beautiful country of Jordan. Founded around the 6th century B.C. by the adventurous Nabataean Arabs—an inspiring nomadic tribe that settled here and built the foundations of a thriving commercial empire extending into Syria—Petra has a rich history waiting to be explored. Once the tour wraps up, you'll find your driver waiting for you at the same spot where you were dropped off (Visitor Centre). From there, you can get ready for your journey back to the Dead Sea, or if you prefer, you can opt to be dropped off at the Airport or another location of your choice in the Amman area.

We had a fantastic day exploring Petra from the Dead Sea with our driver Bardaghawi. He messaged us the day before to confirm a pick up time and arrived at our hotel on time. He was very friendly and knowledgeable pointing out points of interest and stopping a few times on the way to take in the amazing views. On arrival at Petra he instructed us where to go and let us explore it at our own pace we just needed to message him when we wanted picking up. In my opinion this was a great way to see Petra as we weren't tied down to another people could explore at our own pace and really just enjoy the experience, thanks again Bardaghawi!

The tour with Mohammad war perfect. He was just in time at the pick up place und brought me fast and secure to Petra. On the way we stopped at beautiful photo spots for taking pictures and Mohammad is a true cinematographer:)

We had a full day tour to Petra from our hotel the Kempinski at the Dead Sea. Our driver Mohammad bardaghawi was wonderful. It is a long journey about 3 hours from the Dead Sea, he gave us information on the way about the region and we made a couple stops, one for Turkish coffee and the other at a local shop before we started the last leg up the mountain to Petra. We had a private guide for 2 hours once inside Petra, then we walked the famous 800 steps to the Monastery and it was so worth it. If you don’t want to walk there are donkeys you can get as well. There is a wonderful place to eat run by the locals at the top with a nice view of the Monastery. It was not crowded at all due to the conflicts in the region but it is safe and can’t believe we experienced this wonder of the world with no large crowds, if you are wanting to go please do the people are very nice and welcoming to tourists and like to share their cultural heritage with you! It was a surreal experience to be able to travel to Petra.

We booked a tour with a pickup from Hilton Dead Sea Resort with all entrances and a guide pre-booked at Petra. Anas was our driver and he was exceptional. The drive was comfortable and smooth with some interesting stop-offs along the way. His knowledge of the history of Jordan and Petra was excellent and made the 3 hour drive pass by very quickly. At Petra he came with us to sort the tickets and introduce us to our guide for the day. After a great tour Anas was waiting to collect us for the drive back to the hotel. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Very enjoyed the trip, thanks Viator and R&H VIP transport and services,especially for Mustafa the VIP driver, very helpful and so nice person and also nice car for us, too it was so very comfortable car.Mustafa gave us some informations about the trip,he was very kind person and fluently in English and he picked up at the Deadsea area and then after the end of the trip he drop us directly to the airport and we had been treat like VIP guests.
