Itinerary
After pickup from your Uyuni accommodation, head straight into the world's largest salt desert. Marvel at the seemingly endless expanse of lily-white salt, stretching out in every perceptible direction. Traveling through the salt flats, you'll head to the train cemetery, which is home to decrepit, abandoned trains and a train museum.
Afterward, you will enjoy a visit to the town of Colchani, where you can view local artisan products and souvenirs while learning about the means of extracting usable salt from the flats.
Onwards, you will head to the Incahuasi Island, which is surrounded on all sides by salt flats, where you can enjoy a picturesque 360-degree view. Leaving the island, you will enjoy a sumptuous local lunch in the middle of the Uyuni salt flats, accompanied by local drinks.
As the sun sets, marvel at the Technicolor display over the mirror-like surface of the water that pools over the salt flats. As night falls, you can sip hot drinks and gaze at the twinkling stars, with unparalleled views of the Milky Way, shooting stars, and constellations that form the basis of the Andean worldview.

My husband and I had a wonderful tour of the salt flats with Paola. Communication before the trip was great and we always felt like we were in good hands. Paola brought so much energy and was incredibly knowledgable and open to sharing with us. She took us to all the right spots and always had an answer to our questions. I recommend this company for anyone looking for a private tour of the salt flats and encourage you to request Paola as your guide!
