Bilal was great! We saw lots of amazing sites with wonderful views and he was very knowledgeable. The camel ride was the best!
Belated review for Bilal! He was the best, great communication and flexibility. He has the best attitude and was a very fun and knowledgeable guide. He really helped us get the full benefit from our short stay, including local customs and dining. He was very attentive and ensured that everything was efficient. We could not have asked for a better day and it made Tangier the best day of our 15-day Europe Tour (I Understand Tangiers is Africa, haha). I am sure there are other good guides, but if you want to make sure you get one of the best, make sure you book Bilal! I only wish I could have found more people to split the cost of a Seville tour. Maybe in the future.
The female guide was great…she really tried hard to compensate for the downfall of the tour owner (Bilba?) owner texted us a couple days before our tour and said despite what we purchased the tour would not be private. We complained and were told if we cancelled and rebooked with him we could save 10%. We did not…..then the day of we were texted that the tour was not going to include the camel ride! I said “I need to call Viator b/c this is not the way they usually operate” so the. He says that if we pay $20 more per person we can have camel ride. I said I want the camel ride included in the tour he says “that is the small tour and not on beach” again I protested and said your says beach so we got a 5 minute ride on the beach as opposed to everyone else around more like 15-20. We were then taken to a rug store where we were pressured to purchase rugs (thousands of $) and then taken to a so called pharmacy where we were to purchase his herbal concoctions. Everywhere we went I felt your owner would get a kickback if we purchased. The other group with us was told your would be private as well and would be 4 hours. We were told 7 so they left us (short time) returned the other party to cruise but when she returned she continued to take us to stores of friends. We asked to be taken back after 5 hours
Thank you for your coment, but it would be better if you be honest. First of all,you booked at the last minute, send we advised you that there will be another family joining us on the tour, cause they booked before you,and you agreed with that. Regarding the Camel ride,it's included on the tour a small Camel ride, but we did offer you the long Camel ride by the beach and you didn't paid for it.(I told you that I'll pay for it)so I don't know why did you lied???? Regarding the Store, you asked to visite a souvenirs store and the guide she showed you a place where you can find all what you need without having to be stopping in different stores...where you never been pressured cause we didn't spent even 3 minutes in. The berber farmacy it's a cultural stop amd it's mentioned in the tour itinerary....so why you're saying thinks that it doesn't make sense??? The other family, were advised that they'll be joining you on the tour and they accepted even they've booked for just 4 hours tour but the same itinerary, and they been taken to the ship after 4 hours of the tour (they were very happy with the tour). Then you were just you and the guide, till.you decided to go back to the ship.... So why all of this lies and trying to ruin others people life... Thank you anyway
We did the tour with several other people from our crews ship. We had a great time. We saw views and the market and road camels at the beach! He also took us to a local restaurant where we had a great meal (meal was not included in the price but was worth it). Our tour guide did an excellent job of telling stories and pointing out local points of interest. He seems to truly love his City! Thank you Bilal!
What a great way to see Tangers with just two of us Bibal was outstanding his knowledge of Morocco the history and culture was amazing and so helpful With a great personality We have seen some wonderful places our driver was excellent making it easy to get around. This was a great insight to Morocco would recommend especially Bibal Thank you for a wonderful day
We came off the cruise ship and met our group and guide Bilal at the pier. Started our day with a few stops and went to the area of the beach to ride the camels. When we arrived Bilal told us that the small camels I. The parking lot were included and if we wanted a ride on the beach it would cost 20 euros more (say what) most of us wanted to do what we thought we were to be getting and ride on the beach (5 minute ride). Line was long and most of us thought Bilal was trying to move the tour along and thought if he told us we would need to pay more we would chose the little ones that would walk are d the parking lot. Bilal went to talk to the guys on the beach and “worked a deal” with them so we all could ride them. Then we went to the Hercules Cave and found out we could pay more (8 euros) to go into the “big cave” that our cost was only for the little cave. The little cave was nothing much more than a tourist trap with people selling their items and offering you to have a picture taken with their parrots. Not what we again were expecting since we didn’t want to spend more for a tour that was to be a private tour and ended up being with 11 others and no reduction in price. Lunch was at a location of the guides choosing but had been planned. Very busy with workers yelling at each other and complete chaos so it wasn’t worth the 20 euros per person (and we were not told price prior to eating) After lunch we went “shopping in the markets” or should I say taken to a store and need g to listen about their rugs they sell and then had to go to a pharmacy and listen to their sales pitch on offerings (handed bags and asked to put items in them to buy). Most of the people that I spoke to were not happy with the bait and switch on things and being told we could shop (only at their preloaded bed locations) we did not have time to e en look around d in any shops since there was t any time left. Not what any of us thought!! When expecting a private tour and spending over 300.00 for two and then expected to pay more for everything in the tour description isn’t what we had in mind. I did 12 Viator tours this vacation and this was the worst one.
Hello Beth! First of all I wanna Thank you for sharing your feedback, bit it would be good if al what you say it thru and honest. Cause as you can see in the itinerary and in what's included, you'll find that the Camel ride that's inured intue tour is,a samll tour and not the bog one by the beach.as well as the Hercules cave is not included on the tour price, but it's included the entrance to the samll cave. The reason the Hercules cave is not included is because it takes a lot of time to get in,and specifically when is a cruise ship in the city.so it takes even an hour to get in.so the people the start claiming,so we decide to keep it optional ,and it mentioned in the itinerary already. Regarding the Camel ride, normally there's an additional fee for the Camel rise on the beach.BUT in your case I've paid for it and you didn't paid anything (SO WHY YOU SAY THAT YOU HAD TO PAY???)I've invited all the group for a Camel ride by the beach which it costed me 20€ per person.....and I was happy to pay for you.so honestly I don't understand why you say that?Regarding the private tour, you were the last ones you've booked with me,so I've advised and informed you that there will be 11 people joining us on the tour,so if you don't agree just cancel. So you agreed to be in the tour and you said that you agree to be with other people. Regarding the restaurant,it was one of the best restaurants of the area, but due to the cruise ship there was a lot of people amd all the group was happy with the food and price (cause 20$ included the whole menus, soup, salad, pastilla, main course,Couscous, drinks, fruits, cookies and mint the)so do you think that is expensive?? Honestly I didn't expected this from you. I did all my best just to be satisfied,but.... Please be understandable and razonable and give a honest review. Thank you anyway Bilal
Be aware that only tours operated by cruise ship can drive up to the ship passenger exit. We had to walk approx. 1/2 mile to meet guide and driver. That said, Billal and his driver were wonderful!
Our tour was with Bilalsnd he created an amazing day for us! He was flexible with a meeting spot and was a wealth of knowledge regarding all the cultures that have merged to become part of Tangier. He took us to great shopping, a local coffee shop, and an amazing lunch spot! Not to mention all the cultural highlights of Tangier we could possibly ask for!! I could not imagine a better day!
