Flying over a lost culture

The best part of all was Frendy Revilla's explanation about the history of the Nazca culture and the Paracas culture. We have learned a lot and the guide has helped us understand these very ancient cultures. The only bad thing is that the wait to board the plane gets a bit long. After the flight over Nazca we toured the Huacachina desert in a buggy, it was an exciting adrenaline-filled experience!

Frendy is friendly and amazing!

Yes, the drive is very long, you have to wake up very early and get back late at night, but you know that going in so that should not be a complaint here. The bus was comfortable for what it is. I wish the bus stopped about two hours before Lima for a restroom break. Our guide Frendy was amazing. She was full of information and held her hands to make sure everything went smooth. She has so much knowledge and explained the history of all the different cultures within the Providence. The flyover the Nazca Lines is a must if it is something you are interested in, do it. As for the flight itself, beware you can feel nauseous so listen to the guide and copilot. The sights were awesome. As for Haucachina, the buggy ride wa so much fun and a must do. We decided to rent the sand boards. If you don’t, you just lie on your belly on a board which look like fun, but I wanted a little more. I would say the toughest part was the bus ride back to Lima. If you’re able to sleep great but I’m not like that. And all it was an amazing adventure and once in a lifetime experience. If you complain about the drive it’s your own fault because you’ve been warned.

The sandbuggy and sandboarding in Huacachina after was also super fun - a lot of great memories made. Thank you for an amazing day!

Not worth it….never..just no!

The ride and value is not worth it!!!! Just don’t unless you enjoy torcher. Sadly poor planning on top of it made everything worse. It was a lot of money $450usd, and time for very little reward. There was a Marathon the day of the trip. The tour did not plan ahead for this and we got behind an hour from leaving the hotels, yet there were repeated messages to be outside on time. they were an hour late. I stood outside my hotel while being told every so often 5 more minutes that really was 40 minutes. The ride is too long to go the Nazca lines. We split the tour in two groups one to Paracus and one to Nazca lines a few hours into the drive. While we were already behind, the tour guides further delayed us by stopping at a pottery museum instead of getting us to the airport right away, assuming to get us to buy trinkets. When we arrived to the airport we were not succinctly rushed through the process to get us tickets and on a flight quickly knowing how late we were. Additionally, they further split us out into 3 flights instead of the possible two which then further delayed us. And while funny at the time, we were told at 5’8” and 155lbs were were too fat and needed some smaller people to go with us, yet the people they put us in a flight with wee bigger than us. So just a bunch of waisted time at this airport & museum/shop that cost us precious time. They were not trying to give us viable options to ensure we would eat lunch at a reasonable time either. They were suggesting we wait until we got to Hauchachina, do the dune rides and then eat afterwards. This would have meant even though we were up at 3:30am and could only pick up snacks to eat along the way we would eat our first meal at 7pm. We insisted they order us food to grab after our flight over the Nazca lines for our own best interest. However they couldn’t properly coordinate all three groups of 2-3 people food orders even though we were on separate flights and waiting for each other. So of course we had to stop and pick up food a 2nd time. Because we were so behind on time, now 2-3 hours, we got to Hauchachina in the dark and could only do the dunes at night, missed the sunset and couldn’t see much of Hauchachina. There was no informing us along the way of the implications time was having on our schedule and what that meant for the rest of the paid for activities. That was a huge disappointment. I did a 20+ hour bus drive to basically see the Nazca lines in a 30 minute flight with a lot of donuts/maneuvers that make you sick for a lot of money!!!! The best (I’m being sarcastic) part of the trip was getting rushed to leave Hauchachina only to be told we needed to walk 10 minutes to the bus where the driver was stuck in the sand!!! The back up driver left his bus locked and was nowhere to be found. So while we were supposed to be back at our hotel at 8/9pm we were stranded in Hauchachina at 7:30pm with them not having an idea how to get us home. Why didn’t they figure out the bus issue an hour or so before we left Hauchachina? Why didn’t they have access to their back driver/bus? Thankfully one of the people on the tour spoke fluent Spanish and hailed us a taxi to get 5 of us out of there asap. We had to pay another 650sol to take a taxi back to Lima, with a driver that was exhausted and attempting a 4 hour trip. Other than the people that I met that was the worst paid experience I have embarked on in my life. I still don’t know if the fellow passengers made it back safely or not. I just know the amount of money, time, the lack of back up plans, setting expectations when things go wrong and problem solving on this tour left me underwhelmed. I would never recommend this to anyone.

NAZCA LINES (W/ FRENDY) AND DUNE BUGGY WITH SANDBOARDING IN HUACACHINA

I did the Nazca Lines tour and the dune buggy with sandboarding in Huacachina and it was AMAZING! Frendy was my guide for the Nazca lines and she was absolutely the best! She knew so much about the history and was truly passionate about it and cared if we had a good time. And she made sure we all got as many pictures as we wanted. Being a solo traveler, it really meant a lot that she made sure to offer to take my picture. I would highly recommend requesting her as your guide! The dune buggy ride was awesome as well. It felt like a roller coaster. And the sandboarding, although a little intimidating, it is definitely worth it! It is definitely an adrenaline rush and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do something really cool.

Great tour guide. Booking this simplified everything to enjoy things that were on my bucket list and some that were not

Frendy was awesome. She was full of knowledge and made everything easy from pick up to drop off. Given the extent of the trip from Lima and the activities that we were able to do on the trip, I thought the trip was worth the money. I thought the purchasing aspect of buying this full-day trip was easy. My hotel information was confirmed within hours of booking, which made pick up and drop off very easy. The airplane ride to view the Nazca Lines was amazing. I think the biggest surprise for me was the dune buggy ride and sandboarding. Everyone had a thrill to remember for a lifetime. The dinner at the Oasis was also nice. By this time, we had a chance to get to know folks on the trip, which made it even more enjoyable. The crowd size was not an issue. We had a small group of 10 tourists plus our tour guide and driver. I think this trip is best for individuals or families. The atmosphere was pretty good. The only caution I will have is that the road from Lima to Nasca is very bumpy. Try to sit near the front of the bus. I sat in the back, and it was unfortunately uncomfortable. However, for what we experienced on this day, it was worth every bump in the road.
