Luxor, Valley of the Kings and Karnak

Awesome day trip. Driver picked us up at our Cairo hotel at 03.45 am with our boarding passes. Flight from Giza to Luxor was under an hour. Our Guide and driver was waiting for us when we arrived at the Luxor Airport. First stop was Valley of the Kings and our ticket allowed us to visit 3 tombs. You will need, water, good walking shoes and there are lots of steps inside the tombs - some quite steep - but the experience is not to be missed. Our guide Mohammed Hassan was extremely knowledgeable. He was personable and passionate about his work and culture and we learned so much. He was flexible and after lunch we were able to add an unplanned boat trip on the Nile to our day. At the end of our day we were driven to the airport and Mohammed checked on us later to make sure we boarded our plane. Our driver picked us up in Cairo for our drive back to our hotel. It is certainly a long day, but efficiently managed and a memory for a lifetime. thanks
