Sarah and Adam collected us from our hotel in KK promptly and I must say Adam was a first class driver throughout the day . Sarah gave us so much information as we drove along, pointing out interesting sights and giving us the history of the area too. We visited a local market along the way and tasted the delicious red pineapple. Sarah’s botanical knowledge really enhanced the trip to the botanical gardens too. The trek to the suspension bridges in Poring Hot Springs was definitely worthwhile and lunch was super tasty. Well done Adam and Sarah and thanks for a great day 🥰
We wanted to see Kinabalu National Park and Mount Kinabalu, which is why we booked this expensive tour. The service beforehand was excellent, but the tour itself was the worst we have ever done... The guide, Mr. Farid, only spoke 2 sentences to us. At lunch he left us with the words "lunch" and there was no other explanation of the stops. We then read a lot on Wikipedia - you don't need a guide for that ;-). The really worrying thing and why I am writing this bad review was the DRIVER. I have never experienced such bad and questionable driving. He drove the bus like a car, did not keep a safe distance from the vehicles in front of him and started very daring overtaking maneuvers in the corner area where he could not see. The passengers in the back of the minibus were literally thrown around and the driver did not adjust his driving style. He also did not seem to be familiar with appropriate driving in the mountains or with a manual transmission. The minibus was an older model and not well motorized. We even had to get out once when the bus was going uphill because we wouldn't have been able to move otherwise. On the way downhill, the driver drove too fast again and we were afraid that the minibus would skid on the bends. We have never felt so unsafe with a driver. I informed the agency afterwards and really hope that they can find a new, more responsible driver. Conclusion: Kinabalu is worth it and we recommend that everyone visit it up close. This tour, however, was a nightmare. We recommend booking a Grab instead. You definitely have a better chance of getting a motivated and knowledgeable guide in a safe vehicle and there won't be much difference in price either.

This trip was amazing. Our tour guide Melvin was the best guide we could wish for! He made our tour a really great experience with a lot of information about the plants/ nature and animals. We even saw apes and that was really rare. 5 stars for this tour!
We enjoyed the trip. The guide was friendly, we have seen the Mt Kinabalu, the hot springs, had tree top walk and visited botanical garden. Really nice, despite being stuck in a traffic jam on the way back. Recommended.
We had a fantastic day (long travelling times to and from) Flo our guide was extremely knowledgeable Flora & Fauna, we learnt so much from her both at the Botanical Gardens and during the Canopy Walk. Great at the end after our climb to the Canopy Walk to dip our feet in the hot Pouring Springs Water. We were luck with the weather and got some great photos of Mount Kinabalu from various vantage points. Well worth going, even with the long travel times.
Dear Catherine, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are thrilled to hear that you had a fantastic day with Flo as your guide. We are glad to know that her extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna at the Botanical Gardens, as well as during the Canopy Walk, contributed to your overall experience. We appreciate your kind words and are delighted to know that you found the trip well worth it despite the long travel times. Thank you for choosing us, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
The hanging bridge in the Poring Hot Springs is fun, other things are not special, and the hills and plants of the Kyinabalu Park are special, the guide Eddie is very detailed, and today's trip is very good.
Ryan was our tour guide for this day out into the jungles of Borneo. There were some utter delights in the day: the Kinabalu Botanical Garden was fascinating. The Poring Hot Springs were a little odd to western eyes, but not without appeal, but the real treat was going on beyond the canopy walkway to the natural waterfall and going to swim in it! My tour was with 25 male sailors, mainly in their 20s, from a naval vessel, but Ryan found absolutely the right level with the group and was infectious with his enthusiasm for his subject. Lunch was very good and substantial enough to sustain my group for the day.
A botanical garden with discovery of orchids and a good guide but 7 hours in a coach with air conditioning (dampers very tired), without water offered to participants, a good but frugal lunch, services not included and hotsprings with possibility to wet our feet (nice suspension bridge in the rainforest). Expensive and a lot of time....
