I wasn’t sure what to expect from a one-day trip from Cairo to Alexandria, but it ended up being one of the most enjoyable days of my visit to Egypt. The drive was comfortable, and our guide made the journey interesting with stories about Alexandria’s unique mix of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman history. Visiting the Roman Amphitheater felt like stepping into another era, while the Bibliotheca Alexandrina was the perfect contrast modern, impressive, and full of culture. The Qaitbay Citadel was probably my favorite stop; the sea views were absolutely stunning and I may have taken far too many photos there! There were not as many people and crowds as there are in Cairo, the Grand Museum and other places . The stop at Abu Al-Abbas Al-Mursi Mosque was beautiful, and walking around Alexandria felt completely different from Cairo—more relaxed, with a refreshing sea breeze and a charming Mediterranean atmosphere. The organization was excellent, the vehicle was comfortable, and the guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and always happy to answer questions. Even though it was a full day, the itinerary never felt rushed. If you're staying in Cairo and only have one free day, I highly recommend this tour. Alexandria has its own personality, and this trip is a fantastic way to experience its history, architecture, and coastal charm all in one day. Thank you for a memorable experience I would definitely do it again! 🌊🏛️📚
I had an amazing day tour in Alexandria and honestly, it became one of my favorite days in Egypt. The city has such a unique atmosphere compared to Cairo everything felt calmer, fresher, and much more relaxed. The highlights of the day were definitely the Citadel of Qaitbay and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The Citadel was absolutely beautiful, with stunning sea views and so much history to discover. Walking around and enjoying the Mediterranean breeze made the experience even more special. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina was equally impressive. The architecture is incredible, and I loved learning more about its cultural importance. It was one of those places that feels inspiring the moment you step inside. The amount of books available, the different halls, and the things displayed in the library were completely different from libraries in Europe. I was very impressed with its system, and it was a new and different experience . Another thing I really enjoyed was the weather. Coming from Cairo, the difference was noticeable right away. The air felt cooler, the sea breeze was refreshing, and the whole city had a pleasant atmosphere that made sightseeing even more enjoyable. Everything was well organized, and I had enough time to explore, take photos, and enjoy each location without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend this Alexandria day tour to anyone looking to experience the beauty, history, and unique charm of this wonderful coastal city.
