Santa Monica is a beautiful city on the Beach where you can catch some sun and see where Forrest Gump jogged Route 66 to the Pacific! No trip to LA is complete without visiting it's stellar beaches. Arrive to our office early or depart the tour in Santa Monica if you want to walk down the pier - You'll have a great photo opportunity from the bus as well!
See and explore the Venice Beach Boardwalk where you’ll see the birthplace of surfing, Muscle Beach, skate parks, stunning art murals, and the famous Venice Beach Canals!
Window shop with the rich and famous at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills! See where Julia Roberts shopped in Pretty Woman and Take a photo in front of the famous Beverly Hills sign while spotting celebrities.
Not only is the Farmers Market at the famous Grove a true LA Icon, it also provides plenty of great lunch options fitting most all budgets and dietary needs. Keep your eys peeled for celebrities at this popular location.
Adjacent to the Farmers' Market lunch stop, this is a great place to shop if you have extra time after your meal!
Pass by the famous Sunset Strip - Home to famous music venues such as The Roxy, The Whiskey and the Viper Room. This is a great celebrity sighting hotspot.

- Please note: The Observatory is closed on Mondays and the Park is sometimes closed for filming so as an alternative the tour may go to Mulholland Drive and/or The Hollywood Bowl
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- If you want to be on the same bus as a another group, please contact us immediately after submitting the booking.
- No luggage larger than a backpack is allowed on board and we do not store luggage
- Please contact us if you need a bus with a Wheelchair lift or have an ADA requirement.
- Umbrella strollers that fold are acceptable, nothing larger that cannot fold

I flew into LAX to see my brother in Idyllwild, and decided to spend a few days in LA. While I had lived in the Bay Area in the mid-1980s, I hadn't spent any/much time in LA since my childhood in the 1960s. And, my eldest daughter, from Tennessee, had never been to the West Coast. Given our limited time and hesitation to drive/park in LA, we booked the day tour of LA with "A Day in LA Tours." It was absolutely the best tour I've taken anywhere (and I travel a lot). The organization and planning was top-notch. The shuttle was great. The tour guide, John H., was spectacular -- extremely knowledgeable and entertaining (and a screenwriter when not giving tours). We saw many of LA's most-famous sights (see photos), had ample time to explore, and never had to worry about traffic, getting lost, or finding a parking space. I give "A Day in LA Tours" my highest rating (and then some).

This was an excellent tour Toronto truly visit the highlights of LA! Our tour guide, Colin, was friendly and knowledgeable. It was very easy leaving him a much deserved tip! We loved all the stops, as well as the extra pieces of information he would share along the way like the Google binoculars!

It was a great tour! In addition to the featured stops, John showed us a lot more. Also, he was very informative about the history of the sights and made us feel comfortable. The tour was organized as well. I highly recommend A Day in LA!
Raul was fantastic. I just wish we had more time at Griffith Observatory and Hollywood Blvd. Also I would have liked to have driven by stars homes.

The city tour is interesting, especially for film fans. Positive is the group size of about 22 people per bus. There are six different locations with a stop and time for individual exploration. For me, the stays per location were too long, but this is individual.
Fantastic trip with knowledgeable and funny tour guide . Loads of time at stopping point but could have done with lot longer at Griffith observatory- really fascinating

Bring an Umbrella or Poncho if it’s raining but otherwise it was a great tour and had a great tour guide
