Full day hot springs at Arenal Volcano and hanging brides from San Jose

We enjoyed the tour of hanging bridges and hot springs but our guide had not been to the hanging bridges before and didn’t have any facts to share. Then the lunch and hot springs were another 90 plus minutes from the bridges so we spent more time in the van driving then actually enjoying the tour.

Great tour guide by Giovanni! It was a fun experience! He was exactly on time 8:00am pickup from our AirB&B. He was fun and knowledgeable.

Arenal volcano tour, cloud forest tour and stay at Los Laurales hot spring resort A great experience...everything turned out perfect...just us in a spacious, clean and very comfortable van that makes the journey, which is long, more bearable The different views of the volcano and the walking route through the cloud forest with its suspension bridges by our driver and guide Arturo Gamboa left us an unforgettable memory Before arriving in Arenal we stopped in Athens (all-metal church) and in Sorchi (wood workshop that manufacture traditional coffee wagons) Arturo attended to us perfectly and we could enjoy his 30 years of experience when it came to the whole excursion Finishing the day before returning to San Jose taking a relaxing dip in the different natural hot spring pools of Los Laureles was the perfect end RATING FOR TRIP ADVISOR: The title of the Spanish excursion that appears in the dropdown is "hanging brides" (sic) when it should be "hanging bridges"...sounds like a misuse of the English word Bride por Bridge and its Spanish translation

This tour guide was great! we really enjoyed our time with George, he is full of knowledge and paid great attention to anything going on around you. The hiking portion is tiring! so be sure to eat before and be prepared for both the humid heat with a light raincoat for possible rain. The hanging bridges portion is great also as the views are like no other place.

My partner and I had a great day on this tour. Freddy picked us up promptly at our hotel and then we drove out to La Fortuna. Because of Covid, many restaurants and shops are not open, but for the most part we were able to do everything we wanted. The hiking at the Arenal Volcano takes around 2 hours, however the humidity snuck up on us so make sure to bring comfortable clothes and a rain jacket in case there is a surprise shower. The hanging bridges park was really neat, very beautiful and scenic and you are able to see local wildlife on the walk. Overall, this is an active tour (I used my Health app to track and we hiked around 7 miles!) so make sure to bring proper clothes, shoes, water, etc. Thank you Freddy!

I highly recommend this Tour!Arthuro our Tour Guide was excellent,knowledgeable and kind.Hiking at Arenal Volcano was great and pretty easy you don’t have to be an experienced hiker and weather permitting you can take great shots of the Arenal Volcano.The hanging bridge park was absolutely fabulous by it’s beauty and you feel like Indiana Jones on these hanging bridges!

Our tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about his county and fun to be with. We had a good time. We are early to mid 30s guys. The food at the restaurant was good too. The hikes weren't too bad. Probably on the easy side. We went on a Monday and our tour guide was late though. Not his fault and we don't hold it against him and his company. Traffic was bad. Probably 1.5 hour late. We didn't get the free water bottle too but we brought water of our own. Just a heads up to future travelers and the company to keep in mind. Hope this helps.

The hanging bridges was the best part of this trip for sure. Skip the Arenal Volcano hike as nothing special just a normal hike through the jungle, unless you are looking to grab some great pics of really cool old trees. The best part of the hike was we got very lucky with our great tour guide and the other guests who booked the trip as they were extremely friendly.
