Full Day Hike and Bike Experience Cotopaxi Volcano with Lunch

In this tour, we will visit the spectacular Cotopaxi volcano, the second highest volcano in Ecuador. You will have a chance to see the beautiful lagoon of Limpiopungo. We will go downhill with bicycles as part of this tour, and the bicycles are included, or if you prefer, you can go with our car. Highly recommended! * CURRNTLY FOR SAFETY REASONS, full‑day visits inside Cotopaxi National Park are only permitted up to the José Ribas Refuge.

Itinerary
One hour and half from Quito, on the Pan-American Highway south, crossing a part of the Andes and the town of Machachi, place known by the livestock and agriculture to the skirts of the Pasochoa and Rumiñahui to the right and to the left the Corazon hill with the wonderful ilinizas we will have our first technical stop to an altitude of 2945m (9.662.07 ft.) for Acclimatization, breakfast and photographs.
Our second stop will be at the entrance to the Cotopaxi National Park 3200m (10.498.69 ft.), people from the around communities will be waiting for us with handicrafts and mountain clothes (it is highly recommended to either bring Wool hat, scarf, gloves, etc or purchase them on this stop. The Cotopaxi National Park is the second most visited park in Ecuador after the Galapagos Islands, its best attraction is the Cotopaxi Volcano with an altitude of 5987m (19.347.11 ft.), it is the highest active volcano in the world and thousands of tourists visit it every month because it is the main tourist attractions near Quito.
We will hike the Cotopaxi volcano up till "José Rivas refuge", approximately 1 hour hike. we will have a 30 minutes break there to rest and to have a hot drink or soup. (approximately 1 to 5 USD). we will hike back to the parking lote, and from there optional continue by bicycle down hill, approximately 30-40 minutes.
We arrive (either by car or by bike, up to you) the beautiful Limpiopungo lagoon, we will have a few minutes to rest here and take photos.
