Travel from Yerevan to Tbilisi and visit the gems of Northern Armenia on the way. This unique tour combines both tour and transport, making the most of your time. Enjoy freshly baked pastry in the morning from a bakery in Aparan. Visit two UNESCO Heritage listed sights, starting at Sanahin with its serene and tranquil surrounds. Then to Haghbat, nestled in the peaks of the Debed Canyon among lush green fields. Enjoy a family-hosted traditional Armenian BBQ lunch. Delight in the ancient frescoes of the church at the Akhtala fortress-monastery. Entering Georgia, arrive in Tbilisi.

Itinerary
From Yerevan to Gntunik it takes one hour and a half where we will enjoy freshly baked pastry in the morning from a bakery in Aparan.
On the way to Sanahain Monastery we pass by the highest mountain in Armenia. With its four peaks Mount Aragats stand tall at 4,096 meters. In the middle of this beautiful mountain there is also a creator as it was once an active volcano.
This UNESCO Heritage sight was built in 966 AD, with its serene and tranquil surrounds, it was one of the most important cultural, religious and educational site. Built in the honor of Gurgen and Smbat Bagratuis Sanahin was always under the patronage of the nobility. Explore the magnificent structures of Sanahin monastery and learn its legendary history.
Nestled in the peaks of the Debed Canyon Haghpat Monastery is the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in Armenia. Built in 976 AD its construction is closely related to its "sister" monastery Sanahin. Explore the picturesque monastic complex, admire the classical Armenian murals, learn the romantic history of Sayat-Nova and much more.
Taste the famous Armenian BBQ in local home with the greatest views to the Debed Canyon. Learn more about the local village life and enjoy the local homemade food.
Akhtala or Pghndzevank Monastery is famous for its iconic 13th century frescos done in the classical Byzantine style. The frescos of Akhtala Monastery are unique to all of Armenia and are of the greatest showcase of Byzantine art outside of Byzantine Empire. Learn the history behind the monastery and its breathtaking frescos. Find out more about the local legends of copper miners and famous people.
We will cross the Armenia-Georgia border at Bagratashen.
The final destination is the beautiful capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. After crossing the border we are going to drive straight to Tbilisi without stopping. The tour ends near Envoy Tbilisi, located in the Old Town.

We needed a transfer, and choosing with Envoy was the absolute best decision. Instead of spending hours just stuck inside a car, it was wonderful day trip filled with fantastic sightseeing stops. Like our other Envoy experiences, it also had a delicious lunch at a local family home. It is the perfect way to combine the necessary transit with exploring the country. Highly recommend!

This was an excellent way to see some more of Armenia while also getting from Yerevan to Tbilisi. Our guide, Ida was excellent : knowledge and great company. The stops along the way were all interesting. The Armenian family lunch was sumptuous. The driver was very competent. All in all a great day.

Best option to transfer from Yerevan to Tiblisi. Despite the cloudy weather we have seen magical places, had nice food and the guide has made the difference. Friendly, prepared and never boring.

The tour was Tbilisi to Yerevan. We saw 3 important monasteries. Ended in the Envoy hostel in Yerevan. The luch was amazing and very abundant. The guide SITA was excellent! Definitely a great value!

Just had an excellent trip from Tbilisi down to Yerevan with Envoy guided by Edyoz. Everything was taken care of. We stopped at about 5/6 towns visiting ancient cathedrals and monasteries… our lunch was something special -at a private family in a small town. The food was delicious and plentiful. We then stopped for a quick sweet treat before reaching the city centre of Yerevan. Highly recommended 👍

It was great, I took it from Tbilisi to Yerevan. Beforehand i wanted to see Debed canyon but there aren’t really tours from Yerevan going there and this tour is a great way to see it. You’ll also get to bond with the others on the tour, meaning you’ll have friends when you arrive in the new city
