Embark on a mesmerizing canal cruise through Bangkok, often called the "Venice of the East," where waterways once served as the main roads of the city. As you glide through the canals, you’ll step back in time to see how locals lived 300 years ago—residents still dwell in charming stilt houses along the water and travel by boat, just as they did centuries ago. This is an experience that beautifully captures the spirit of Bangkok's past and present.
Explore Wat Phra Chetuphon, commonly known as Wat Pho, one of Bangkok’s oldest and largest temples, renowned for its impressive Reclining Buddha statue. Wat Pho is also considered the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, with its serene grounds offering visitors a chance to experience this ancient practice. Adorned with stunning chedis, intricate murals, and beautiful pavilions, Wat Pho is a vibrant blend of spirituality, art, and history, offering a unique glimpse into Thailand’s rich cultural heritage.

We had a great day out seeing the sights of Bangkok with our guide Poppy & driver plus 2 American couples. It was an extremely hot day but Poppy did her best to ensure we were as comfortable as we could be, particularly with the long drive from the port into central Bangkok & back again. The canal boat cruise was a highlight plus our authentic Thai lunch.
An interesting & informative trip, the boat trip along the river and canals was amazing. Our guide Ice was very good & very friendly. Would recommend this enjoyable trip.
Very knowledgeable and informative guide "Peter". It was enjoyable listening to him and interacting with him regarding Thailand. He was punctual and on time as cruise requires some appreciation of being timely.
Brilliant trip to Bangkok. Our driver was excellent. Our guide was Preecha - he was superb - so knowledgeable and informative. It was a fairly long journey to Bangkok from the port but he gave us so much information on the country and the city that the time passed quickly. Once in Bangkok - he moved us swiftly and efficiently through the places we visited - giving us information and stories. His humour made the whole experience interesting and fun. Would highly recommend. Thank you Preecha
Our guide Poppy was one of the best tour guides we have ever experienced! She was organized and our safety was always her priority. She was super!👏
When we walked out of the cruise terminal Poppy was waiting for us with a welcoming smile and a JAT sign. Our transport was a large, new, immaculately clean and comfortable coach and we had a great driver.Poppy kept us well hydrated throughout the day with copious bottles of complimentary water. She stopped halfway between the cruise terminal and Bangkok to use the toilets, and the same on the return journey She went above and beyond and organised everything so that we had a fantastic day in Bangkok. She guided us throughout the day ensuring we saw everything to see and more. She organised our lunch order in advance so that when we arrived at a authentic Thai restaurant it was waiting for us.She guided us safely around all the main temples, took us on a Tuk-Tuk ride,Long tail boat trip around the Bangkok river, and fed the catfish. Poppy was so informative, friendly, and helpful in every way. She informed us of the Thai culture and traditions and history, guided us on the best Thai food,I could go on and on.She even took lots of group photos and sent the whole of the group her photos of the day on WhatsApp. Poppy was everything we could have wished for in a guide and I would highly recommend her if you are considering a tour from the cruise ship terminal into Bangkok. We have done lots of independent tours around the world and I would definitely say that the day we had with Poppy was one of the best ever.
Lots to see. Our guide was informative, friendly, and full of energy. She was very accomadative and proud of her country. Be prepared that the tour time may go over due to heavy traffic.
Very relaxing and enjoyable. Hassle free Poppy was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable I would recommend her to anyone
Bangkok is 2 hours drive from the cruise terminal so it’s a long day. It was also hot (37C) and busy being a Sunday. Once in Bangkok our tour guide showed us around the Grand Palace temples and reclining Buddha. Then after a quick lunch we had a ride around the canals on a long boat - seeing many interesting sights. Our tour guide was helpful and explained lots but sometimes his English needed more explanation. All in all we would thoroughly recommend the trip.
