For our experience in the Wadi Rum desert we chose a full day jeep tour with overnight stay at the clean and well organized Wadi Rum Quiet Village Camp. Excellent exchange of information with Saleem for booking and before our arrival, always available and fast in responses. The added value of this experience was our guide Ahmed, excellent cook, always smiling and very patient with our children who enjoyed climbing the dunes and sandboarding. In a comfortable jeep all to ourselves we visited all the main sites of wadi Rum and witnessed a wonderful sunset from a vantage point. Beautiful experience.
We had a lovely stay at the quiet village camp. Before arriving at the site, Salem greeted us with some tea and explained us the schedule of the upcoming days. We had great authentic Bedouin diner, enjoyed some music and the sky full of stars. Ahmed showed us around the next day and made lunch during the day trip, which we all very much enjoyed! Lovely camp and people, would definitely recommend
we really enjoyed camping under the star in the desert with a bedoin and visiting the desert in a jeep. Thanks a lot to Abdulla and Saleem for this two amazing days
Oh, great. An efficient, friendly and very professional team. All very well organized, one of the best experiences in Jordan. Poir the afternoon, on arrival, accommodation, tea and transfer spends an optimal point where to watch the sunset. Very good dinner and a pleasant evening with.music and aztronomical observation. The next day we did the 4x4 tour, Fully recommended.
i did a lot of research about where to stay in Wadi rum. This camp is about 15 min from the wadi rum village parking. it's right next to Khaliz canyon, about 20 min walking distance to see the inscriptions. We arrived in the evening, even if we only booked a tour for the next day, they took us for a short ride to see the sunset, made us tea, so super nice. Pick up and drop off to the car was included too, They couldn't have been more welcoming, we were greeting with tea, the owner came around to everyone to talk about what we wanted to do. We ordered dinner and lunch for the next day, breakfast was included. The food was delicious, great choice, the rooms super clean and even though a camp we weren't cold at night. We booked the 3h hike up the Burdah bridge and a canyon. The hike up was amazing; the view up there was breathtaking. We were then taken to a nice place to have lunch , we had delicious kalaya bendu, a vegetable dish with tomatoes (afterwards we ordered it everywhere we went, it's so good), and then he took us to a nearby canyon, it was just 20 min walk, but really nice, afterwards we saw the other 2 bridges and the khaliz canyon but we were too tired to climb up but we could have gone. I would definitely choose this camp again, price quality ratio is the best, we met some girls who stayed at the bubble lux hotel and they were super disappointed , cold and they were happy they found this. can only recommend it!
Life time experiance. Every recommendation for the place. Cook is great, food is various and delicious, bes is big and chill by night is so relaxing. The guide is highlight of all. Husein is great musician, great cook and great tour guide. And he drive a jeep so good on that sand! All best for him.
Saleem, who runs the camp, is an excellent host, friendly, prudent, accommodating, as are the guides. The tents (actually, as in many of the camps, they are permanent huts) with private bathroom and shower (for an extra charge) are highly recommended for cold nights. The food is very good to delicious and cheap. The atmosphere in the evening is particularly beautiful; you sit in a big tent or outdoors around the fire, drink tea, Hussein plays the lute, the guides sing.
Highly recommended experience. Special views and atmosphere of Wadi Rum. Saleem and his crew are friendly and helpful. Staying overnight at the comfortable desert camp adds to the unique adventure.
The Salim camp is really magical: located far enough in the wadi rum, at the foot of a huge cliff, you feel welcomed at home. Very cozy and warm beds, excellent and hearty kitchen. The day with Ahmed was one of the best moments of our trip to Jordan. I recommend!
The tour was great and i highly recommend it! The breeze from the ride helps cool you off and lunch is included. You get to see the best of all Wadi Rum and at each stop, you get out to walk and see the sites. Perfect trip to experience the Jordanian desert
