From Zadar: Private sunset sailing tour

We were informed the tour cancellation just one day before it was scheduled. While we understand that the tour will be refunded, such last-minute notice is extremely unprofessional and reflects poorly on the quality of the travel service.

Our Skipper was nice and took the kids to a great swimming spot nearby. However, we were served lukewarm wine and no water for the kids. The boat was a racing boat and didn't have any seats so not ideal for a sunset cruise. I wasn't expecting luxury but a boat meant for cruising and some cold wine would definitely have made the experience much better.

No Skipper or Boat at the Meeting point. Not even a call or Mail. After i asked when the boat will arrive i got a refund without apology. Marlin Sailing is a SCAM. They just dont Show up. Never again with such scammers.

Start of the Sunset Sailing Tour was planed at 7PM. We waited with the confirmed Booking until 7:15 and then asked via Chat when the Boat will arrive. 5 Minutes later i got a refund on the booked activity. Not even answered the chat , nothing. Drove 30km to zadar and back. NEVER again with Marlin Sailing. This is unprofessional and unreliable.

We made an unforgettable turn into the sunset. Our two skippers were very friendly and explained a lot to us and encouraged us to try things ourselves. None of us have been on a sailboat before, but after this experience we would like to repeat it. For those who imagine luxury, it is rather not suitable. But this is also rather unusual for a sailboat. I cannot share the negative reviews. We were picked up on time and were completely satisfied. For the long run of our stay we even got helpful tips from our local skipper. Thanks for this great experience!

Our captain Mario greeted us at the marina and helped us onboard. He was friendly, knowledgeable and a great guide for our sunset cruise!

We had a turn with Dario. His father came along on the tour and helped with sailing. We could relax and enjoy the wine. Had a beautiful sunset. There was no shortage of promise. When we had questions they were answered by Dario. We would love to come back!

There’s no star at all this guy or company deserve. As other people mentioned he never showed up or had a courtesy to let us know that he won’t be there. We paid for a taxi to go there and looked for him. He was no where to be found neither did he answer. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM ITS A SCAM.

We waited more than 1 hour at the meeting point. We called, we sent WhatsApp messages and emails, the calls rang through but no-one picked up. We checked with locals we were in the right place. We walked around and saw the Marlin boat sailing with someone else onboard. Conveniently he called us at 9pm which would of been the end of trip and the time they dropped off the other people who were on the boat. He made an excuse that he had a “little accident “ on his way to us, I don’t believe it (I booked through Viator) as we saw the boat and he called at exactly the drop off time. He may be 5 star when he turns up but customer service starts with booking in. We planned our whole last evening around what should of been a lovely experience. Don’t book them, look at the other 1 star reviews where they made excuses and didn’t show up. On the plus side he did refund me but that’s not the point.

It was a lovely and relaxing experience. They were so nice and brought us a nice bottle of wine. The tour was beautiful and we found the best spots to watch the sunset. Cannot recommend highly enough
