Itinerary
The starting time is 8:00 a.m. usually in front of Meet Bosnia Agency at the Gazi Husrev Begova 75, but can be arranged from elsewhere, if requested. After a small introduction and giving to our guest complimentary bottles of water, and we start the tour.
Enjoy beautiful central Bosnia town with its unique arhitecture. Town is full of Traditional Bosnian houses.
Sarena dzamija or Colorful Mosque is one of most magnificent mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina
he fortress of Jajce sits above the town at an altitude of 470m. It is located within the complex of the medieval city that dates back to the 13th century. The fortress, constructed over several centuries, encircles the architectural remains of a mid-15th century castle. Located in the south-western side of the fortress is a portal with the royal coat of arms. This portal dates back to the time of Tvrtko II and King Stjepan Tomasevic, who moved the royal court to Jajce in 1421.
Enjoy lovely view of Pliva lakes...
The little windowless huts sit on top of skinny stilts right over the gushing water. Since the flow here is spread out, by using a series of little mills instead of one big water wheel, the diffuse water power could be aggregated. Pretty ingenious. Most of the huts go back to the period of the Austro-Hungarian empire (about 1867 to 1918), and they give the impression of a little storybook village.
At 17 meters in height, the Pliva waterfall is one of the most notable features of Jajce. This natural monument is located in the very centre of the town and has been named one of twelve most beautiful waterfalls in the world.
Built around 1400 AD for the aristocratic Hrvatnić family, this two-level crypt is small and roughly hewn but artfully half-lit and notable for the boldly sculpted cross, sun and crescent moon motifs (downstairs), a rare surviving memorial to the independent Bosnian Church.

The trip to Jajce and Travnik was really wonderful. I booked with MeetBosnia Tours directly on their website for 75$ approximately. The trip is a day tour, starts at about 8 am and you’ll return at 8 pm. The group I was with had a lot of people around the same age from different countries and groups, which left a very nice atmosphere throughout the ride and trip. Wael, our tour guide was exceptional, he seemed very knowledgable and tried his best to accommodate to everyone’s wants/needs. If you like adventure and nature combined with history of Ottoman influence in the region, this might be a good option for you!
Really awsome tour you see lot of Bosnian nature during this trip and can taste a classic Bosnian coffee. Jasmin our guide was really nice, helpful and funny. I would love to do more tours with him if I come to Bosnia again. It was definitely worth the money. It was full day tour.
Everything was perfect and well organized. I had Mostar and Travnik&Jajce tours, and those tours were unforgettable. Tour guides were really helpful and informative. Especially, the tour guide of Travnik&Jajce (his name is Ejyub-I hope I could write his name correctly) was super. He gave lots of details about things and history in Travnik and Jajce. I also had a private shuttle to the airport. It was completely quite, and it saved my time and energy to reach the airport. Thanks a lot for everything.
It is a lot of travel time and very little to do. The time at each place is minimal. The guide was talking on the phone the whole time he was driving
Highly recommend .. very relaxing way to spend the day ..
This was a long day tour, but worth it. You do get to see a lot, and it was good because we broke up the trip by visiting Travnik first, then Jacje, then finishing off back in Travnik to visit the Colourful Mosque. The tour guide was very informative, and did well to drive us through the atrocious weather. In Jacje there are several things you can visit, I went to the catacombs but that was a damp squib. I then went to the Avnoj museum, which was very interesting and I wish I had gone then first. There are some very good eating places in Jajce. I was glad I booked this tour as it was great to see some of the Bosnian villages and explore them.
It was a great experience. Ejud — I hope I’m spelling his name correctly — was an excellent guide: very passionate, well prepared, and with a really great vibe. We had a lot of time to enjoy every stop and that was great!
The tour was smooth, informative, and offered a lot of insights into Bosnia. Almir is an amazing tour guide and driver: very knowledgeable and passionate!
This tour took us to some truly beautiful places that would have been difficult to visit on my own, and I’m glad I joined. Bosnia is an incredibly beautiful country, and I really enjoyed every stops and activities and meeting the other tour members. However, there were a few disappointing aspects. Since the guide was also the driver, there was very little commentary during the drive. I usually enjoy learning more about the history and places along the way, so that part felt lacking. The tour was advertised as including breakfast, so I skipped eating beforehand, but the sandwich was only given around 11am, which was much later than expected. At times, the driver seemed visibly frustrated with traffic and was occasionally using his phone while driving, which made me feel uncomfortable. Also, I found it tiring to be asked multiple times to leave a review before the tour had even finished. Overall, the destinations themselves were wonderful, but the overall experience could have been managed better.
Thanks for everything. It was amazing experience. We saw all secret, natural places of Bosnia. Also our guide Jasmin was amazing. He told about any information about history. 🙃
