The wineries they take you are all small and do not give you that “ France/ Luxe” feeling, also they did not go to Napa, but drive through. All the places they took us were not indeed NAPA. Sonoma was small and nothing to do. I guess, I expected more of those chateau wines places. Will definitely not do this specific excursion again. Widen I go again, I will make sure I know the places they will be taking us. This was not worth the money. The driver also talked to much about things that did not relate to the experience.
The driver James B. was incredible, an excellent guide, I recommend him.
Disappointed! Apparently there are 500+ wineries in Napa and Sonoma….. so why would the tour organisers choose a tasting session at Sutter Home ? ( purveyors of very average wine that can be picked up at the supermarket) The first winery was Madonna vineyard and they were excellent. A good selection of different wines to try . The second as mentioned previously, was Sutter Home and the 3rd was Napa estates .. also owned by Sutter Home !! Cone on lads, do a bit of research and find some more unusual vineyards! In addition, the bus used was in fairly rubbish Cindy, with an absence of shock absorbers and torn seating . The guide was average as well with some of his facts being plainly wrong Not recommended!
We apologize for your disappointment with the winery choices and transportation. We value your feedback and are committed to improving our tours. We will take your suggestions into consideration when planning future itineraries. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I arrived closer to 8:25am, and the staff was helpful and provided a pleasant greeting. The driver was friendly and provided a lot of good san fran history along the way. He drove us safely and allowed us to stop at the NAPA VALLEY Sign and got us to the winery. There was a place for us to sit while learning about the wine at Madonna but everything was good. I also wish there was some food with the tasting.. but 90 min in Sonoma Square was perfect. The clear roof on the bus and cooler of water was a nice touch.
The cathedral hill hotel is terrible, it should NOT be available in the app, it is dirty the service is terrible and also has so many people from The street living outside you can't go in or sleep, (noise at night and music) if you open the window smells like urine the room
We are sorry to hear about your experience with The Cathedral Hill Hotel. The reviews here for the business of Big Bus Tours and Tower Tours. We hope to see you at Big Bus Tours and Tower Tours in the future.
Great tour. Had a great variety of wines and the history of the area was incredible.By our tour guide Grady
The wineries and tour guide were all great What wasn’t great was the van used for transport. To say it was a bumpy ride is an understatement. The van definitely needs work on suspension it felt like you were hitting a pot hole at least every 15 seconds at one point I went airborne You couldn’t even rest your arm on window because it kept getting slammed. You couldn’t even type on your phone because yours hands were being knocked off phone . Words can’t describe how horrible the ride actually was. I did take a 3 minute video of the sound (slam slam slam) just to show people because without it you just can’t understand how bad it was. I would like the owner of the company to take the same ride Please take your van in for repair that’s a part of owning a business. Would def not recommend if there is a chance you could get same van
It was very organized, stopped at all the beautiful sights along the way to Napa. We learned about the history of the towns along the way. The tour guide was very kind and personable. Fellow travelers were wonderful too. Bus has windows on the ceilings to really take in the beautiful scenery. The wineries were beautiful and the staff at each were so inviting and kind. I would recommend this over and over again. Easy way to stay safe and enjoy the vino!
