We had a marvelous time and felt that we were guided by someone with experience.
does not correspond to what is written on the website and the guide was not a professional, gave incorrect information about the seats in the carriages, said you can sit in any carriage without a difference, but it turned out you had to sit in the same carriage with everyone else. When she said to change the carriage and transfer to their carriage, then we did just that, but unfortunately I could not walk quickly and therefore did not have time to board another carriage and therefore fell behind the train, And the train conductor did not look at whether we sat down or not, the train started moving, I made stop signs, but the train driver did not stop and drove off.
Dear guest, thank you for your feedback. Our guide provided the entire group with all the necessary information regarding carriage management and boarding procedures — instructions that the rest of the group followed correctly and without any issue. The Bernina Express is a public railway service operated by RhB — Rhaetian Railway — with strict timetables that no tour operator can modify. Despite this, our team immediately stepped in to assist you, enabling you to rejoin the group on the next train at no additional cost, and the bus waited for your arrival before departing back to Milan, delaying the return journey for the entire group. We are proud of the promptness with which our staff handled the situation and believe we did everything possible to ensure your day could continue in the best way possible.
I had the most amazing experience ever. This is the most scenic route of Europe. You will get a beautiful glimpse of certain parts of Italy and that of Switzerland on the same trip.
A complete disaster. Reduced the ride by 3 hours, I wanted us to take the ride in the Bernina Express in the dark of the late afternoon. We moved the city from St Moritz to Tirano and we would stay 2 hours in Tirano for lunch with Barbie guide. Do not answer the phone when you try to get information suddenly the change on the ride and omits information and mind paea the Viator by saying that offered the possibility of cancellation after changes that do not have in the email. Lies saying that RhB changed the timetable of the trains when on the website the company says that on day 221125 everything was normal.
The lowest class travel agency. I booked a trip with the Bernina Express in October and a few days before...in November they cancel it because there are no more places. Run away from this company.
The trip proved beautiful x the views of nature. A long day but worth it for being an unforgettable experience
The meeting point is quite chaotic . Coach drivers unhelpful. Make sure you know the name of your operator ( Viator) is not the tour organiser . Need your passport for this one. This trip is not the red train trip.
Dear Customer, We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. However, we’d like to clarify a few important points to avoid confusion for future travelers. The meeting point can be busy during high season, but it is clearly specified in the travel documents provided. It’s also important to note that Viator is a booking platform, not the tour operator – in this case FRIGERIO VIAGGI is the Tour Operator. As stated in the tour description and confirmation email, a valid passport is required, as the itinerary includes crossing international borders with Switzerland. As for the comment about this not being the Red Train, we can assure you that this is exactly the Bernina Red train, either with Panoramic or Standard carriages. We remain at your disposal for any further clarifications and thank you, Best regards, Frigerio Viaggi
Monica was an amazing tour guide. She was very caring and kind. She gave a lot of information and also helped one of the solo tourist who had different program for the day.
Perfect organization. Although we were only 3 people, they made us use a second stop convenient to us, to join the rest of the bus. Very professional and precise driver. The Taty(Tatiane) guide stratospheric! With a smile from the early morning until 10 p.m. Available to answer any question, he gave advice on everything, very clear and dynamic in explanations. Loving his work made us the experience of the trip, fantastic. Magnificent hike. I dreamed of it for years and it went far beyond expectations. I highly recommend P.S. Here is the narrada(review), as Taty said!!!
Its a long day and many hours in the bus, but the train trip is really worth it! It is one breathtaking moment after the other, both the nature and the engineering feat of the train track in itselves. It’s like 2-3 hours in St Moritz, which is more than enough for someone without the budget to splurge at Louis Vuitton and the like. Bring a neck pillow to sleep in the bus and you’ll be ok.
