You will see from the boat the scenic St Peter's Church, a small Romanic church built overlooking the sea on the tip of a rocky promontory. You will be speechless!
You will cross the Strait of Le Bocche, between the Island of Palmaria and the town of Portovenere, from here on you will no longer be in the Gulf of Poets but will begin our cruise to the Cinque Terre National Park.
The first village in the Cinque Terre we will encounter is Riomaggiore, and the sun will begin its descent.

Back in the Gulf of Poets, it will have become dark. The west coast will give you another spectacle: you will discover the village of Le Grazie and the other villages that make up Borgate Marinare illuminated by many small lights. You have never made a return trip like this.

The sunset boat tour was perfect! The guide Mattia was very accommodating and told us additional information about the Cinque Terre. We were able to admire the bright colors of the houses from up close in the beautiful evening atmosphere. The aperitif, the drink, and the swimming stop were also great! The boys especially liked the fast ride over the waves! An all-around great excursion that we would book again anytime!
This is the only way to see the towns - from the ocean while the sun is setting. The boats are comfortable and our captain / guide Fred was knowledgeable and made the experience so much fun. As we were out on summer solstice we had time to see 4 of the 5 towns. Their colours wth the setting sun were breathtaking. The appetizers and wine were very good as well. Highly recommend!
We already knew the Cinque Terre, having been there a few years ago by train, but once we returned to La Spezia, we wanted to try to see them with an experience from the sea without too much stress or crowds... Never was a choice more fitting! From our arrival at their platform in La Spezia, the staff welcomed us with courtesy and attention to detail that is noteworthy, immediately seating us in their lounge. After that, we set off with our skipper, who turned out to be a fantastic guide in love with his territory. It's pointless to talk about the sunset in front of the breathtaking Cinque Terre, the cherry on top being prosecco and appetizers on board. How beautiful! Quality-price ratio 10/10 We will definitely return, and thank you, guys!
Amazing tour to enjoy and discover Luguria’s coastline. Amazing view of the beaches and sunset. Do not miss!
Dope. Great times. Guide put the best music on in all the right places. Got to swim and relax. Dude translated the tour in English and Italian to meet needs and spoke both well
We were a bit skeptical as we booked via mobile phone and we didn't know exactly what to expect. It was all great though! A fast-paced ride and interesting comments from our captain. The mood at sunset is unique. For someone who wants to experience many impressions in a few hours, this tour is perfect.
Would not ever go again. No safety jackets with half metre swell. Wife sick and leaning over side of a rubber dinghy is very unsafe. Worst experience in 30 years travelling.
We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we’d like to clarify some important aspects regarding safety, which is always our top priority. All our boats are equipped with complete and certified safety equipment, including life jackets for all passengers — even infants. According to Italian maritime regulations, wearing a life jacket is not mandatory in calm coastal waters such as those of the Cinque Terre National Park. That said, life jackets are always available onboard for anyone who requests one. In your specific case, neither you nor your wife expressed the need for a life jacket at any point during the tour. Had you done so, our captain or staff would have promptly provided it — just as we regularly do for guests who feel more comfortable wearing one. We understand that even moderate motion at sea can affect some individuals, and we’re sorry your wife felt unwell. However, the sea conditions that day were entirely safe, with a light 50 cm swell — well within the norms for coastal excursions — and we strictly operate within all safety guidelines. Our vessels are tracked in real time via GPS and our team consists of certified professionals trained in maritime safety and emergency procedures. While we regret your disappointment, we respectfully stand by the safety, legality, and professionalism of our services. Kind regards
Amos! Amos! Amos! He made our trip. The sights were amazing and Amos’ expert commentary and personality were spectacular. He definitely is the right young man to be the face of your company. What a delight! Always careful and respectful, he showed a love for the sunset scenes he was showing us! Good food and drinks, too! Great experience!
Not worth the money. We had a 20 year old skipper who got busy talking about drinking and we were only able to go to 3 villages. Wish we had taken boats from one of the villages instead there are lots of options and they cover 5 villages
Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to take a moment to clarify a few important points: First of all, the itinerary of the Sunset Tour was followed exactly as described at the time of booking. As clearly stated in the tour details, this experience includes a panoramic view of three of the five Cinque Terre villages, accompanied by drinks and a selection of local appetizers — all of which were regularly offered and provided during your trip. Regarding your skipper, Amos: while it’s true he is young, we are proud to work with highly trained and passionate professionals, regardless of age. Amos is not only a certified skipper with experience, but he is also a future naval cadet. His background includes studies in maritime disciplines, advanced safety certifications, and training in environmental awareness — all requirements we set for our crew. We believe that age alone should not be a basis for judgment — especially when professionalism, training, and passion are all present. After all, even Formula 1 drivers and fighter pilots are often young than 23. As for the brief moment when the skipper returned to retrieve a personal item, it was fully accounted for in the planning of the tour. Our routes are designed with timing flexibility and safety margins to absorb small adjustments, without altering the guest experience or duration of the trip. Lastly, part of our mission is to provide a genuine and engaging atmosphere on board. Our skippers are encouraged not only to share local insights, but also to connect with our guests in a warm, friendly, and personal way — something most of our clients deeply appreciate. While we respect your opinion, we stand by the professionalism of our team and the accuracy of the service delivered. We’re confident that the majority of our guests, as reflected in our hundreds of positive reviews, would agree. Warm regards,
Best tour ever!!! The boat ride was lots of fun, Fred was a very good driver/host and the scenery simply amazing. Definitely a great way to see the Cinque Terre villages. The Prosecco was great, wish we’d brought our swimmers, the water looked amazing.
