This was a fantastic tour. I’m a US history professor who teaches the war and I learned things I don’t know from our wonderful guide, Linh. She was knowledgeable, courteous, and made sure the tour went smoothly at every stop. The Vinh Moc tunnel complex, where a village of 1,000 people lived for six years to escape the American bombs, was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the history of the Vietnam War.
The whole day ran very smoothly and the guide was very informative. Great scenery while driving from place to place. What a variety of different places that we visited and lots of different activities
Went on a small group tour with Khanh as the guide. We visited Quang Tri Citadel, Khe Sanh, the DMZ, and Vinh Moc tunnels. The tour was fantastic. Khanh is very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a long day but well worth it. Very happy with it!
Feel bad only giving this three stars as the guide was amazing and gave us great information and the places we stopped off at were also really interesting but the trouble for me is the geography of the tour. It’s all over the place, I get that you need to travel to see things but the full day tour took roughly twelve and half hours and just over nine of them were spent sitting in a bouncy minibus. Travel three hours to keh son and only stay for forty minutes which is still about ten minutes more than you need despite it being really interesting. If you want to get a really good insight of the true history here and see some historical spots and don’t mind spending three quarters of your day sat in a minibus bouncing around the definitely give it a go.
Did this for my sons 19th birthday and it was outstanding. The tour is well organised and our guide Hoa has a second to none knowledge of the way and excellent English. One of our party let it be known that it was my sons birthday and Hoa called ahead to the lunch destination a pretty elaborate a cake with his name piped on it and candles for the whole bus to sing happy birthday. The Khe Sanh combat base and tunnels are a haunting reminder of a tragic past that are well preserved. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Just don't wear white you'll get dirty in the tunnels.
Super nice day trip where we saw and learned so much! Enough rest moments in the nice cool car. Our guide Cuu was very enthusiastic and told a lot in a nice way. Very impressive Vinh Moc tunnels visited with a very sweet gentleman who was born there.
Our guide had a really good knowledge of the history of these sites and how important they are to vietnamese history also had a good sense of humour.
Myself and my wife did the DMZ full day tour. It was a long day but our guide Hoa kept us well-informed about the numerous sites that we visited and gave us plenty of background information on the war and the history of Vietnam in general. I found her engaging and more than happy to share her vast knowledge of all things DMZ. Our driver was efficient and managed to get us around the various sites safely.
It's difficult to summarise the day as the topic and emotions it raises are complex. Hoa our guide clearly explained the back story leading to the conflict, the key points during the conflict, and slightly beyond, linking it all up logically. We were in a group of 5 and everyone thought it was excellent.
My guide, Thach, made this private tour perfect! As a widow, I came to Vietnam to honor my husband's service in the war, and pray to those Vietnamese who suffered due to the war. Thach, who has lead hundreds of vets, made it personal and real. I can't recommend this tour enough!
