Pickup Time: 7h30 - 8h00 am 08:00: Depart to Can Gio 09:00: Arrive at Can Gio, Visit Monkey Island 10:00: Visit Hoa Ca crocodile farm 10:30 -11:00: Trekking about 25 minutes to enter the Sac Forest Revolutionary Base, or choose to ride the canoe for 10 minutes to the base (The canoe expense is not included in the tour) 12:00 -12:30: Have lunch at a local restaurant – trying the speciality of Southern Vietnamese cuisine Afternoon - You will continue to visit Seafood Can Gio Market 15:30-16:00: Arrive at Ho Chi Minh City

For the shared tour, hotel pickup is available in Districts 1 and 4. For the private tour option, pickup can also be arranged in Districts 3 and 5
Explore the UNESCO-listed Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, home to a rich variety of flora and fauna. Walk along wooden pathways under the lush mangrove canopy, spot monkeys and tropical birds, and learn how this unique ecosystem protects the coastline and supports local communities.
Visit the historic Rung Sac Military Base, once a strategic site during the Vietnam War. Learn about the lives of the Rung Sac Commandos, explore reconstructed bunkers, and see displays of wartime artifacts surrounded by the tranquil mangrove forest. You may also choose to travel by speedboat for an additional cost.
Explore Can Gio’s bustling seafood market, where you can see a wide variety of fresh local catches. Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch by the seaside
Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon. Relax on the drive back, and get dropped off at your original pickup point

Khoa was an excellent tour guide, the tour was lovely. We saw lots of monkeys, I did get my glasses stolen by one...partially my fault they did warn me. I managed to get them back in the end with an ice cream offering to the monkey.

From the moment we booked this tour the group admin (Elise) reached out and was very supportive with pick up point and what we needed to bring. The night before tour David (guide) got in contact with me and let me know where and when to meet even coming to the hotel to collect us. (Bus wouldn't fit down street) we were provided a briefing on what to expect on the tour and off we went. David's knowledge of the area was second to none with lots of information given to us. Travelling with young kids he was very understanding that we might have been a little slower than the rest of the group but helped us as much as he could. 10/10 for this experience

This was a slightly different experience to other tours we did in HCMC during our stay. It was great to get to Can Gio and walk through the lush mangrove forest, pose for pics with the local gangs (of monkeys) and a self-led tour of the guerilla outpost. Highly recommend the speedboat back to see the forest from another perspective.

Well organised and a really enjoyable day. Khanh communicated clearly and provided me with all the information needed the day before and Sam was a wonderful guide throughout the tour. The monkey's really do steal things from you so do be mindful of that - one took my bottle of water :) Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nature orientated day out - plenty of monkeys, crocodiles and wildlife to see.
