Itinerary
Start your adventure with a relaxing 2.5-hour drive through the beautiful Tuscan countryside in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the history, culture, and traditions of both Tuscany and the Italian Riviera as you travel towards the coast. Upon arrival, you'll board a local train and begin one of Italy's most scenic rail journeys, winding between dramatic sea cliffs, colorful fishing villages, and breathtaking Mediterranean views as you explore the spectacular Cinque Terre coastline.
Arrive at the gateway to Cinque Terre and board a charming local train for an unforgettable journey along Italy’s spectacular coastline. Travel past dramatic cliffs, sparkling Mediterranean waters, and colorful hillside villages as you make your way through one of the country’s most iconic landscapes.
Your first stop is the postcard-perfect village of Vernazza, often considered one of the most beautiful of the Cinque Terre. Famous for its colorful pastel houses, charming harbor, and dramatic seaside setting, Vernazza is a place where every corner feels like a picture postcard. Wander through its narrow medieval streets, discover hidden piazzas, and soak in breathtaking coastal views from the waterfront and surrounding viewpoints. Whether you're photographing the famous harbor or simply soaking up the relaxed atmosphere, Vernazza offers an unforgettable introduction to the magic of Cinque Terre.
Continue to Monterosso, the largest and liveliest of the Cinque Terre villages. Enjoy free time to wander through its charming streets, discover local boutiques, and experience the flavors of Ligurian cuisine. This is also the perfect place to enjoy lunch at your leisure. If you prefer, make the most of your included train ticket and independently visit another picturesque Cinque Terre village, such as Riomaggiore or Manarola, before returning to Monterosso.
Enjoy free time in Monterosso and unwind at beautiful Fegina Beach, the most famous stretch of coastline in Cinque Terre. Stroll along the lively promenade lined with cafés, restaurants, pubs, and gelato shops, or simply relax by the sea and soak in the stunning coastal scenery—the choice is entirely yours.
End your day with a visit to the iconic city of Pisa, renowned for its remarkable architectural treasures. Explore the magnificent Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site home to some of Italy's most celebrated monuments. Enjoy free time to wander the square, admire its extraordinary architecture, and capture memorable photos before continuing your visit.
No visit to Pisa is complete without seeing one of the world's most famous landmarks. Admire the iconic Leaning Tower up close and capture the classic photos that have made it famous around the globe. Guests may also choose to climb the tower (tickets not included, subject to availability) for spectacular views over Pisa, and your guide will be happy to share recommendations to help you make the most of your visit.

Doing both of these things ALL in one day, makes for a VERY LONG DAY!! If you are limited on time as we were, grin and bear it!! If you plan on going for a swim, take your swim shoes! Their “beaches” are more shell/sm rock than sand!! Our guide, Nathan Smith, made this trip very enjoyable! He is also very knowledgeable about the areas we visited! And he gave everyone helpful tips when taking pictures
Brilliant Day with Nathan very helpful he was good at pisa he told everyone about free tickets to get in , well worth going .
My wife and I had an amazing time during our trip. Nathan, our tour guide, did an awesome job of keeping our large group all together and did a good job of explaining the directions. He also was very knowledgeable with the area, gave helpful tips and recommendations. The overall itinerary was perfect and we enjoyed every minute of it. Would highly recommend for anyone to do this tour when staying in Florence.
Very good trip and a very good guide.
Nice tripa bit of confusion in gathering the group, speaillyat the train. But the overall valuation was very good.
Nathan is an excellent guide. He made everything easy with clear explanations. The day went smoothly and all the places we went to were absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend it to all my friends planning to do this trip.
This was a very good trip and well worth the money. Nathan our guide was very attentive and generous with his time. He was very knowledgeable and gave clear instructions. Also recommendations for where to eat at the end of a very hot day. Basically he went above and beyond .
Nathan was a great guide. Told us everything we needed to know about the places we visited. Included useful Italian phrases and where best to eat, also the nearest toilets. He had some fantastic jokes!! Plenty of time to explore by yourself. And a nice amount of time with the group. Was perfect to break up the holiday. Especially if you don’t know Italy all that well or want to explore somewhere other than the city you’re staying at.
It was a well planned and organized tour. The guide is a exceptional person and amazing. Experienced. Courteous and knowledgeable
Nathan was extremely, knowledgable, helpful, fun and friendly. He was entertaining on the bus rides and gave some great recommendations. I especially appreciated the earpiece so we could hear him while getting on and off the trains (something that is intimidating for someone who is not familiar with the process. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Nathan.
