Itinerary
Our Adventure Beggins Here!
After pickup at 8:00 am, we travel for approximately one hour to the town of Maras and onward to the Maras Salt Mines. Dating back to colonial times, Maras was an important center of salt production. Carved into the mountainside, more than 3,000 salt pools are continuously fed by a natural natural spring. As the water slowly evaporates, it leaves behind a stunning, glistening patchwork of white salt. This remarkable site offers excellent photo opportunities, showcasing the unique beauty of the Salineras against the dramatic Andean landscape.
We continue to Moray, a fascinating archaeological site consisting of three impressive amphitheater-like terraces built by the Incas. Carved deep into the earth in a circular, bowl-shaped design, these terraces are believed to have served as an agricultural laboratory, where the Incas experimented with different microclimates to identify the optimal conditions for growing crops. After this, we begin our return to Cusco
Our Tour end here (City center) 2:00 -2:30 PM
