Climb the 241 steps to the hermitage, guaranteed access. ✔ Bermeo and Mundaka, fishing villages Then, we will visit Bermeo, where we will know its fishing history. From there, we will continue our way to Mundaka, surfing paradise. On the guided tour of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, guests will enjoy a unique experience that combines history, nature and culture. Bermeo is a place full of charm and authenticity that allows visitors to connect with the history, culture and seafaring soul of the Basque Country. Through a guided tour they will tour the old town and the fishing port among others.
Mundaka is a picturesque fishing village on the Basque coast, known for its natural beauty and famous port. In its gastronomy, fish and seafood dishes stand out, such as marmitako (tuna stew) and clams a la marinera. It is also the perfect place to enjoy the local pintxos and txakoli.
Immerse yourself in the history of Gernika, a place full of memory and emotion. On the walking tour, you’ll discover the air raid shelters, the legendary Gernika Tree and the stunning mural that reproduces Picasso’s famous painting of the bombing. In addition, you will know the fascinating anecdotes that have marked this town, located in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.

Dire experience. 7 December 2025. Change the order of the itinerary. Visit wineries in the early hours when the stipulated was at the end of the excursion. Most of us were fasting (bad for a wine tasting). But the worst was the lack of professionalism in the explanations and information of the places to visit. We were a group of grown-ups who were treated like kindergartens. Not to mention that two of the attendants were dropped off at one of the stops (they had to catch the train until the next stop). Little seriousness on the part of Viator when selling us a 69€ product in these conditions.
To highlight that the trip has been great and that the guide improved the experience much more. We went with a visually impaired person and were able to make the trip normally, without being left behind. I recommend it.
