Totally worth it in every way. Our guide, famously self proclaimed with tricolored hair, offered a local and cultural experience. Would book again in a heart beat. Do it, you last minute, didnt plan ahead foreigner. Book this for the tickets, but be pleasantly suprised with the tour.
Informative guide and timely
Our tour guide, Rosa, was punctual and informative about Mexico City. She was extremely patient with first time visitors to Mexico City and has a great sense of humor. All of the meals we sampled on the tour were absolutely delicious! A very memorable experience
Cristina was a fantastic guide. We learned so much about the area and Frida and we really enjoyed all of the food along the way. This was a really beneficial way to get into the museum.
The tour guide does not go into the Kahlo museum with you - it’s already stated, but wanted to lead off with that. Having said that, do take this tour. Our guide, Rosa, was amazing, and a source of knowledge & history, not just about Kahlo, but about the history, especially of Cayoacan. I felt like I knew enough about Kahlo and her life even before I set foot in the museum. The museum is pretty special, and so are the grounds, and the garden, courtyard, outside the structure of the house. Besides the history, and the museum, we stopped by around the markets of the town, saw parks, for history of the church. Bites of tostada and churro, and a burrito too, I believe. All in all, a very good choice!
We had a great time on this tour! It was so wonderful to have Jordan as our guide! He was knowledgeable, passionate and engaged us with stories about Frida, Diego, the history of Coyoacán and all the fun little stops for food along the way! Highly recommend this tour of this really charming little neighborhood! And ask for Jordan! You won’t be disappointed! Side note: I had made a total goof on my reservation — thought I had switched it to another day, but failed to complete the confirmation of the change (make sure you scroll to the bottom of each webpage!). We were in jeopardy of losing our entire purchase, but the Operator (el taco club) worked with us to find a satisfactory solution, which kept our tour but paid a slight difference, which I did happily. Thank you El Taco Club!
We enjoyed this tour so much. Cocó was a fantastic guide: fun, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and so helpful. In addition to getting the history of Coyoacán, we got to taste local foods: 3 different kinds of quesadillas, churros, and then tostadas and drinks for lunch. The tour ended after 3.5 hours at the Frida Kahlo Museum, where Cocó left us to end the tour at our own pace after getting us into the museum. (I personally spent about an hour at the museum). Cocó made the day so easy, and he also gave a lot of local tips for restaurants based on where we were staying. We highly recommend the tour!
Cedrela was an amazing tour guide! She was extremely knowledgable about Friday Kahlo and the history of neighborhood. She was also friendly, had great communication, and kept the tour running smoothly.
Jenny was absolutely AMAZING! She is so knowledgeable and was so open to answering any questions we had. She was open to letting us see some things that were outside of the regular tour (we got to see a prosession!) she’s so good at speaking and explaining the history, I was so riveted by her storytelling that I didn’t want to leave her at the end of the tour! Thank you so much Jenny<3 You’re so amazing at what you do and we would recommend this tour to everyone. Best tour EVER!
Rosa was one of the best guides I have ever had. She was super friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about everything related to Coyoacan! The food was incredible! Had such a wonderful time!! Highly recommend this tour!
