French Broad Gorge Whitewater Rafting Trip
Description
The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. Your guide will navigate you through approximately 5 miles of Section 9, where you will raft through class II and class III difficulty levels, and you may briefly encounter class IV drops depending on the time of year, and the amount of rainfall. This tour combines an incredible stretch of exciting and continuous rapids with some of the most breathtaking scenery around.

Our trip guide Emma was fantastic! Fun, safe experience! She made it fun and was very knowledgeable about the experience and Asheville.
The guides were so nice and made everyone feel safe while also having fun. A great trip for beginners! The bus ride from Asheville is about 40 minutes each way and the rafting was about 1.5 hrs.
So much fun and beautiful scenery! I have to admit I was a little bit nervous going into our trip. On the bus ride there you are given lots of information on how to handle the unlikely event of emergency. However, as soon as our raft guide, Alyssa, started talking, I felt at ease. She guided us down the river with so much expertise and confidence, we had an absolute blast. She took the time to educate us on things about the river and point out beautiful wildlife. Myself husband and kids all had an amazing time.
We loved our whitewater rafting tour. Asheville Adventure Company was very organized and friendly. Kaetlyn was a super raft guide. It was super fun while feeling safe the whole time.
Rebecca was a fantastic guide and Laney’s safety speech was very helpful! Our family had a great time whitewater rafting on the French Broad River Section 9. We highly recommend Asheville Adventure Company!

TripAdvisor has been very difficult with me trying to obtain a refund for a trip I could not attend. Their emails are annoying, and the links contained within them or way too numerous for me to easily find the information that I need I would notuse them again.

Ask for Brent - he was a great guide, very knowledgeable and we had a wonderful time! He gave us a history lesson while recommending a wonderful lunch spot at Taco Billy's afterwards. You know this good when the guide shows up while you're eating. David the bus driver was the GOAT of all drivers and needs his own tip Venmo.
The guides were amazing! It was very informative and they gave us an awesome first experience with rafting!
