Way to go Lauren! You could tell she was well rehearsed in her ability to recount the stories of Fort Henry . She’s a great story teller.
Our guide, Peter, did a great job bringing the stories to life. We got to hear enough history of Fort Henry to satisfy my history-loving husband, while also not boring my younger daughter who was not initially enthusiastic about going since she had been there a few years ago on a school trip. We all enjoyed it and counted it as one of the highlights of our time in Kingston. There are some steep stairs and slippery spots along the tour, but everyone on our tour (wide range of ages) was able to manage it.
I guess it all depends on your tour guide maybe? The scariest thing, was in fact, our tour guide and not the tour. Look, I know some people get nervous speaking in public and he did ok when he stuck to the historic parts. But the failed attempts at humor were awkward and maybe before presenting ones self as a speaker would have looked in the mirror before rolling out of bed and into work that day? I'd save your $$
The tour was very informative and entertaining. Our tour guide, Savannah, did a great job of telling the stories and was very engaging. It’s not like a haunted house with characters jumping out at you which made it more enjoyable for those of us who do not like that.
We really enjoyed our August 25th tour of the Fort. Our guide was Isabella and she was excellent. She was animated and knowledgeable. The tour is well done, lots of interesting stories about the ghost sightings, history of the Fort.
Very interesting way to learn about the history of the Fort and their spirits. We had a really good guide to show us around and tell the stories.
Isabella was great! Very interesting and spooky tour. Not too long or too short, just the right length. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes as there can be steep stairs and slippery bits and a decent amount of walking. Definitely would recommend
I recently went on The Ghosts of Fort Henry tour in Kingston and had an amazing experience! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and brought the history of the fort to life in such a captivating way. It was fascinating to explore the grounds at night – a completely different atmosphere than during the day. The dark corridors, echoing footsteps, and eerie stories made it genuinely creepy (in the best way possible!). I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a mix of history, atmosphere, and spine-tingling fun.
Stairways are steep, door jambs are low, tour is excellent! Well worth the price and highly recommend!
Our guide, Mysha did an excellent job. She told the stories well, spoke clear, as wellll as maintaining spooky vibe.
