Susan was great and I'm very passionate about what she does and was a great tour guide. It was a simple short walking tour but the food is excellent and got to learn a lot about the history of Hawaii and town of Koloa...... definitely give it a try!
The experience involved two food trucks and a bbq place. Food was good but not elevated . Not worth the price. Guide was sweet but got lost in her stories quite a bit.
Tasting Kauai food tours are always the highlight of our visits to Kauai. Susan is a delightful guide, bringing her island style, friendly and inspiring perspectives, and excellent storytelling to each stop. She is also extremely accommodating to all the guests. The food is always incredible - excellent dishes at wonderful eateries supporting local, family-owned businesses. Portions are generous and the food is top quality! Susan offers great recommendations for other eateries and local activities that are worth the price of admission alone! We highly recommend Tasting Kauai - all of the tours are fantastic and well worth the reasonable cost.
-Rent a car -suggest cooking at Air bnb vs going out Food is pricey and not great -safeway is near airport Captain Andy’s bbq snorkeling sail was INCREDIBLE. I don’t like boats and am prone st seasickness and it ended up being one of the best experiences we had in Kauai. They are safe, ultra organized, beautiful large catamaran with nice bathrooms, excellent food and superb staff that took great care of us. The Napali coast is stunning. We saw whales and dolphins. Worth every penny. -Island Helicopter Jurassic Falls tour was great. -Day at Waimea canyon for sure -Surf lessons from any nearby place was more fun than I expected -Snorkeling just ok in Poipu end of February, waves were a bit high, visibility was not great, had to go out further than I wanted to see more live coral -try Dole whip (pineapple soft serve) -research any hikes on Alltrails app and be prepared for current weather and trail conditions -be sure choose correct side of the island for the season. - Lots of traffic due to few roads. Chill and enjoy the scenery and give yourself extra time to get places
Amazing food, food & shave ice
Susan gave us a great tour of local food in downtown Lihue with a great story of the history. You should know where on the island the tour goes depends on the day. Saturday was Lihue but other days are on other parts of the island
We made reservations in Kapa’a and they told us to meet up at a coffee house. We waited there for over 45” and they never showed; husband called and texted them over 5 times with no answer- call your damn customers back!! What a sham of a company with no service. They never called us back and no show! Bye bye to our $500, there was a “no refund” policy on the vouchers we signed, so no refund there. Do NOT book with these clowns!!!
Great time with Susan on the North Shore tour! We had 3 lunch stops with more than ample food, plus bakery stop for dessert. All the food was tasty including a taro sandwich which was new to me. Would definitely book with Tasting Kauai again.
Very friendly and knowledgeable but very short. Only 3 stops. I was hoping for a little more. The last visit could have had less food and an additional stop.
Lisa provides a wonderful experience, shares her knowledge of Hawaii culture and history, and scrumptious food! You won't leave hungry for sure!
