Fly over to the Unexplored Parts of CDMX by Cable Car

Description
Most visitors stay at the same tourist sites, but rarely get to experience real life as a local…so, we've designed a journey to Iztapalapa, an area that reflects the daily lives of 2 million people, that otherwise, you would never hear about. This urban district is the largest in the city, full of culture, street food, traditions, and history that comes as far from the Aztecs. What will we do? The adventure starts Downtown, where we’ll take the subway towards the suburbs. Then we’ll visit a local museum to learn the best facts about Iztapalapa, their traditions, and their history. Then, the crown jewels: We’ll fly like birds in the largest cable car in the world for a stunning and colorful view of the street art and the immensity of the valley. In between, we’ll visit a local market and an amazing airplane converted into a cultural venue. We’ll come back home by metro, finishing with a pre-hispanic drink in a bar.

This was an excellent tour. We learned a great information about the city and saw many beautiful things.
Hands down the best tour of our trip! Our host, Fernando, was engaging, perfectly paced, and incredibly knowledgeable. He explained the city's different transit systems and showed us how easy they are to navigate, thanks to the brilliant color-coding and unique pictorial icons for every stop name. We loved walking through a local neighborhood away from the usual crowds, but the Cablebús ride was the ultimate highlight. Floating through stations like Quetzalcóatl and Iztapalapa felt like traveling through a living piece of Mesoamerican heritage. Fernando told us to tune into the sounds of daily life below, and it was amazing to hear people selling tamales and kids playing while looking down at the fantastic murals on the rooftops. Fernando’s academic background added so much depth as he explained the history and culture behind the art. Highly recommend!
Great trip with Fernando.Very educational and something different.Tacos on point, smooth from start to finish.
Elizabeth is hands down the best tour guide I've ever had! she is a great storyteller with such enthusiasm and gusto. She provided a very personal experience with her vast knowledge of the city, it's murals, indigenous and modern culture throughout our tour. I cannot say enough good things about her. She will not disappoint you whatsoever. Just THE BEST!
We had a wonderful time during this tour. It was a great opportunity to meet México city into their roots. Fernando provided an excellent explanation about the city, história and locations. I recommend It a lot
Elizabeth gave us an excellent walking tour of Mexico city metro system, culture and history. Iztapalapa was beautiful from the cable car.
This was a brilliant tour and I definitely recommend it. Fernando was an exceptional guide and we got the chance to experience the real Mexico City. Book it now!
This tour was the most interesting and educational activity that I did in Mexico City. I still think about the places we went and saw over a year later. The tour gives a whole different perspective on Mexico City that 99% of tourist and visitors experience.
I would rate this experience as an absolute must-do when visiting CDMX, especially with our guide, Fernando. He is immensely knowledgeable of the history and current state of the city. He makes sure to give everyone in the group attention and is genuinely curious on our backgrounds and reason for stopping by CDMX. I'd say overall the experience is a bit fast pace but if you can keep up, you'll reap the reward of learning much about Iztapalapa, its residents, and the cable car system.
What a unique and fun way to explore and experience CDMX! We learned so much and had the best time soaring over the city spotting all the amazing murals. We really enjoyed seeing how locals go about daily life as we walked through the different areas outside of the city center, as well as learning about the history and culture of this diverse and beautiful city. Thanks Fernando!
