Itinerary
Your LivTours Florence Full Day Tour starts by meeting your guide and your fellow travelers in the Piazza della Signoria. This L-shaped square in the heart of the city is surrounded by some of the most important buildings in Florence. You will have a chance to admire centuries of architecture as your expert local guide shares with you the history behind the facades. This important square holds buildings such as Palazzo Vecchio, Town Hall, Uffizi Gallery, with one of the most important art collections in the world, and Palazzo Uguccioni, whose facade was designed by the great Raphael. There is no better place to start your tour than in this all-important square!
Your first stop is the Uffizi Gallery, the former offices of the Medici Family. The Uffizi hold masterpieces by the likes of Michelangelo, Raphael, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio, which decorated the walls of the Medici Family corridors. Opening to the public in 1765, it was officially turned into a museum in 1865. Inside your expert guide will show you masterpieces such as The Birth of Venus, one of the iconic depictions of the mythological goddess as she emerges from the sea on a shell. You will also see Michelangelo’s Doni Tondo, the result of a commission from a prominent Tuscan family, showing a portrait of the Holy Family with the Virgin Mary at the forefront. Though you could spend hours, if not days, in the Uffizi, your guide will show you the most important masterpieces from this impressive collection. After the Uffizi you will have time for a nice tuscan lunch. Your guide will be happy to make recommendations for local spots. Lunch is not included in this tour.
After enjoying Tuscan lunch, it is time to continue your LivTours Florence Full Day Tour. On your semi-private tour, your expert guide will tell you the stories of Florence as you admire the melting pot of architecture from Gothic, Romanesque, and Renaissance. Take time to admire the Ponte Vecchio Bridge, the oldest bridge in Florence now filled with jewelry shops and a secret centuries-old corridor.
Admire the exterior of the dome of the largest Italian Duomo, designed by Brunelleschi. Hear the anecdotes behind its construction and marvel at the dome that perfectly frames Florence. Learn about the famous Baptistery bronze doors and the history and legends they have left us behind.
Your final stop is the Galleria dell'Accademia, which houses the magnificent 17-foot marble sculpture of David by Michelangelo. Sculpted between 1501 and 1504, when Michelangelo was only 29 years old, the David statue has transcended both time and culture to become one of the world’s most recognized and admired pieces of art.

We recently took the "Florence in a Day" semi-private walking tour, and it was absolutely phenomenal. If you are looking for a comprehensive, engaging, and intimate way to explore the city, this is the tour to book. Our guide, Emilia, was truly amazing. She brought the history, art, and culture of Florence to life with her incredible knowledge and infectious passion. Because it was a semi-private tour, the group size was perfectly small. This allowed us to easily navigate the busy, beautiful streets, ask plenty of questions, and really connect with both Emilia and the sights around us. Emilia ensured we hit all the essential highlights of the city while keeping the walking pace comfortable and enjoyable. She also offered fantastic local insights and stories that you simply won't get from reading a standard guidebook. We highly recommend the "Florence in a Day" tour—and specifically Emilia as a guide—to anyone looking to make the most of their time in Florence!
We did a semi private tour of the city of Florence and the Galleria Dell’ Academia to see the statue of David. Lurica did an amazing job of tailoring the tour to our needs and we came away have a wonderful appreciation of the important landmarks, beautiful monuments and art.
This tour was excellent. From the greeters to the tour guides. Our tour of the Uffizi Gallery with Babi was outstanding. She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the art and history, making the entire experience both informative and enjoyable. Her storytelling brought the masterpieces to life and made the museum feel approachable rather than overwhelming. Babi’s enthusiasm and warmth truly made this one of the highlights of our time in Florence. Highly recommend! Sylvia gave an excellent walking tour of Florence and made the experience enjoyable despite the rainy weather. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and shared fascinating stories that brought the city’s history to life. Her tour of the Accademia was especially memorable — her insights on Michelangelo’s David made seeing the statue even more impressive and meaningful. Highly recommend touring Florence with Sylvia!
Yurica was amazing! So knowledgeable and authentic. She showed her love for Florence and we learned a lot. We enjoyed her casual affect and passionate historical stories. Would highly recommend!
Amazing historical tour of Florence- lots of history in a 2 hour time period. Iurica was wonderful & very informative! We loved it!
Our tour with Iurica was nothing but spectacular. It was supposed to be a small group but happy accident we were the only ones who showed. Iurica was energetic, very knowledgeable and fantastic photographer when needed. Highly recommended!
Tour guide was terrific. Made the experience very enjoyable.
We had a great experience on the Florence in a Day tour with Iurica. It is a full day, and at times felt a bit longer than needed, but Iurica did an excellent job keeping us engaged and making sure we felt like we were not missing anything by trying to do it on our own. She is very knowledgeable, especially when it comes to the art and the history of Florence, and did a great job explaining things in a way that was easy to follow and appreciate. Overall, a very enjoyable tour and a great way to see Florence in a single day.
We took a 2.5 hour family walking tour of Florence with our guide, Daniela. She was exceptionally knowledgeable about Florentine history and Renaissance art. Being on the tour allowed us to skip the lines to see the David, as well as understand the artistic, political and religious overlaps of the area’s history. Even our teenage boys loved it. Her lunch suggestion was perfetto too!
We enjoyed exploring Florence with Brenda. She was very knowledgeable and fun. I have been to Florence before and she took us by spots I hadn’t been before including some cute a more quiet side streets. We had a very nice afternoon
