Laura, our guide, was charming and knowledgeable. The first entry is a must. You and Laura and alone in the Duomo. It is cooler and more peaceful. It is also nice to climb before everyone. Highly recommend.
Kiara was phenomenal. She cracked jokes. We skipped the line in many places. Had a small group in unique spots. Ticket gave access to many places. Overall the experience was well worth the cost. Would do it again.
Our guide was very knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating. She took enough time to explain and answer questions. We had stops along the climb to allow people to rest. The Terrace view was beautiful and she pointed out many landmarks. The view at the top was breathtaking and we were not rushed. They also received a great tour of the church as well as admission to the you see him and crypt.
Lázaro was a spectacular guide, the tour and the explanation were great. Thanks for everything
Breath taking and informative tour of the Duomo. Greta was informative and enthusiastic about the subject matter and you will leave with a much better understanding of the space than if you were to go it alone. While there are many many stairs to climb to get to the top of the dome there are opportunities along the way to pause. The view from the top across Florence is well worth the effort of the climb
This is a great way to get to the Dome and walk the terraces. The access is extraordinary. We are fit and had no problem at all but there were several on this tour who struggled greatly and I think there were two who never made it to the top. Please, be aware that the steps are many, steep, small, claustrophobic in parts and there is actually a final accent via a ladder. This not a tour for the infirm. NOTE: if you are going in summer, do your best to get the morning tour as the afternoon heat is immense. We loved the tour.
Really great tour! Lorenzo (our guide) was really friendly and so knowledgeable! With the heat, being able to skip the entrance line was really great. Lorenzo gave interesting facts and insights to areas you would overlook on your own - such as the busts of architects and the fresco on the ceiling. The dome climb was hot. But Lorenzo broke the trip into segments - first to the terraces and then to the balcony before the final ascent. This made the long staircase a lot more manageable - physically and incase you are claustrophobic. We found the staircases to not be too bad claustrophobia wise. The views from the terraces and the top of the dome were spectacular. The view to the fresco on the domes ceiling was amazing from both balconies. The trips duration was just right feeling thorough whilst not lingering too long in one area. Highly recommend. Thank you!
Very good explanation of the places we visited
We had an outstanding tour of the Opera del Duomo Museum and Florence Cathedral with our guide, Maria Cristina. She was exceptionally knowledgeable and shared the history, architecture, and artwork with such passion and enthusiasm that every part of the tour came to life. Her explanations were clear, engaging, and full of fascinating details that gave us a much deeper appreciation for the Duomo and its incredible history. Maria Cristina made the experience both educational and enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour, especially if you have the opportunity to tour with Maria Cristina. She is an excellent guide and truly made our visit to Florence unforgettable!
This was an enjoyable tour and we learned a lot about the Duomo. We really wanted to experience the Terrace and got to do that. The overall tour was well paced. We did not feel rushed.
